CT Homeowner Fights Off Four Carjacker Scumbags

Carjackers usually go after expensive and new vehicles. The answer lies with technology. Vehicles should be powered with a shut down feature that can be accessed remotely. That would stop the vehicle and may even stop the criminals. Right now it's just too lucrative for them.

Any vehicle with remote capabilities can be shut down by the manufacturer.
If any vehicle has something like OnStar.........the vehicle can be remotely shut down.
Most of those expensive vehicles have such tech already built in.

His wife was on the phone with the police, she could have gotten it, loaded it, and had him get it from her.
More than enough time to get a couple bullets into a couple of skulls.
Or SHE could have popped off a couple of them.
Most states only allow deadly force of the person's life is endangered. Cars are only property, although some people see them as more than just that.

And yet locking his car would have avoided the entire scene.

You people who think you should never lock your car or the doors to your house are just plain stupid.

They have jack devices that can easily open a locked vehicle in a few seconds.
These are apparently high end criminals, so they are going to know exactly what to do and how to get what they want.

Thanks ! The owners need quicker access to it.

Fuck the states, they don't pay for our stuff.
When THEY start paying for it, then THEY can make the rules about it.

Besides they were beating this guy and kicking him.

Therein lies the problem.

This remote access isn't being put into vehicles for CONSUMERS, it's being installed into vehicles for the political oligarchy.

If you know about the tech though, you can use it if you know how. Otherwise its a precurser to the oligarchy takeover, so you can't escape their gestapo when the time comes.

Then he could have shot them, his life was in danger. But you seemed to be suggesting this for all cases, that wouldn't work and the person taking your advice would be subject to charges. We don't want to add to the criminal element.

If you are going to spend that kind of money on a fancy vehicle there are TWO EASY things you can do to keep it safe..........besides locking it.

1. Keep it in the garage.
2. Keep a car cover over it.

Out of sight, out of mind.

If you're going to spend THAT kind of money.......then you need to spend an equal amount of THAT kind of money to keep it secure.

That makes sense, the death penalty was a little too much for carjacking.
You’re such a liar. There was no death penalty, But the lib mayor wanted to reduce the maximum sentence to be more fair to thugs,

Well then we need to increase the maximum sentence as a deterrent.

I didn’t suggest anything at all. I was pointing out that thugs are running amok. That’s due to going soft on crime.

That’s what she should have done before calling the police. But maybe she had no gun. Otherwise, the victim would have yelled “get the gun!”

Connecticut has neither Stand Your Ground or Castle Doctrine laws. You have a Duty to Retreat.

If the police refuse to do their jobs, then the people can use any means necessary.....

Besides, there are all sorts of laws you can use against criminals. You just have to do research on your area to find out what they are.
The criminals expect you to be stupid and ignorant, as do the lazy cops, and corrupt judges.

If you cite law, you can protect yourself, your property, and your belongings.

Having the lowlifes in jail would have avoided it too. I seriously doubt this was their first offense.

I saw the video on TV this morning. I immediately had two thoughts…

1. Why the fuck isn’t the car door locked?

2. How stupid to run out there unarmed.

I’m glad he was able to resist until his wife called the cops, but going out there unarmed was stupid. Then again I shouldn’t be surprised considering he left the car unlocked too.
