Deal Emerging: Where Does the GOP Go From Here?

So...what is to become of rising star Cruz?

Did he burn up all his political capital?
Has he lost all credibility?
Is he an embarrassment?

Fits right in with the Tea Tards

So...what is to become of rising star Cruz?

He is being lobotomized as we speak, Nancy Pelosi is assuming the role of Nurse Ratched.

The GOP is in the catbird seat, though democrats are too dense to see it, worrying about non-existent changes to non-existent future economic growth.

No, all the republicans need to do is sit back and watch Obamacare blossom into the colossal clusterfuck it is destined to be and coast into the White House and a senate majority.

A year from now it will become apparent that the republicans artfully separated themselves from this debacle in its birth throes.

It's going to be fun to watch.

The Tea Party peaked in the 2010 elections. Their success was based on anger at runaway spending.

Since then, the Tea Party has not adopted a platform of real spending cuts. They have made themselves the anti-ObamaCare caucus and nothing more. It is all they know how to do. They don't have a fucking clue how to reform runaway health care costs. They only know how to oppose anyone who puts an idea on the table to fix the problem who has a D after their name. They don't offer any solutions, which makes them part of the problem. If all you do is obstruct and do not do anything to fix a problem, you ARE the problem.

I don't believe the GOP is the slightest bit interested in shrinking government spending any more than the Democratic Party is. The only difference between the GOP and the Democratic Party when it comes to government spending and federal expansion of power is that the GOP wants to increase spending while decreasing taxation.

Both parties love to spend. They both make promises to increase spending in order to keep their 535 jobs in Congress.

Both parties are also proceeding full bore at expanding the power and reach of the federal government. This is an undeniable fact. Department of Homeland Security? A REPUBLICAN creation. Warrantless wiretaps, opening your mail, reading your internet traffic, monitoring your phone calls? All started under Bush and a Republican Congress.

So don't sit there and pretend the GOP is about cutting spending or states rights or shrinking government. Name the last Republican President who left office with a smaller government. Hell, keep on cheering on the psychos in the Tea Party, and your children will have a hard time naming the last Republican President, period!

Just open up legislation written by Democrats and Republicans. Stop drinking the piss from some dick who tells you what you want to hear is in those bills. Read them for your fucking self!

In those bills you will find provisions declaring state laws null and void with respect to the particular powers the act you are reading deals with. If you read this shit for yourself, your self-imposed delusions about the GOP and states rights and cutting spending will be shattered. There are just as many Republicans attaching spending amendments and appropriations onto the debt every day as there are Democrats. There are just as many Republicans seeking to expand federal power every day as there are Democrats.

Wake the fuck UP!
Powerful!
