The link you posted from the Encyclopedia Britannica states it is not an Assault Weapon, because it does not have select fire capability........the military looked at it, and took another weapon...

There are no loopholes for buying a gun without a background check. In every single state, it is against the law for a felon to buy, own, or carry a gun...there are no exceptions. In the last 20 years these have been sold there have been all kinds of kits to change them to automatic. Don't be obtuse. So after 20 pages you now admit they were designed as assault weapons and were only changed so that this garbage propaganda can keep going...
