I agree with ypur suggestion that this one race was not the end game. Getting voter turnout for Beto helped the Dems unseat 5-term Rep. Pete Sessions.

Rep. Will Hurd (gig'em Will) got all he could handle. He is ahead by less than 1,000 votes.
