"Didn't You Guys Burn Down The White House?"

Boy, are you one stupid ass. From your own site;

Today We Celebrate the Time Canada Burned Down the White House | Smart News | Smithsonian

For the Americans who do know something about it, the War of 1812 is a string of myths, isolated, picture-framed snapshots of heroism. It’s that smoke-shrouded naval bombardment that gave birth to the Star Spangled Banner. It’s when the British sacked Washington and burned down the President’s House—a humiliation somehow redeemed by First Lady Dolley Madison rescuing a canvas painting of George Washington. And, for those who were particularly attentive in school, it’s the war when future President Andrew Jackson thrashed the British at New Orleans (a battle fought, unbeknownst to both sides, after American and British envoys had already settled peace terms across the Atlantic.)

So the President pontificates in his usual stupid and ignorant manner, and you just mindlessly repeat the nonsense. LOL

Words cannot adequately convey the sheer stupidity of our President.

Or, for that matter, his supporters.

President reportedly invoked war of 1812 when Canadian PM asked how he could justify tariffs on national security grounds.

Trump to Trudeau in testy tariff call: 'Didn't you guys burn down the White House?'
the guardian.

good one, beavis.

we've literally gotten to a point in our culture where we reference the national enquirer as support for our views.

hello rock bottom, nice to meet you. got a pillow?

So Obama invoked the crusades when talking about terrorism.

You could benefit from a history class. The crusades, you know. Happened.

Canada burning down the White House--didn't. What actually happened was that the United States invaded Canada.

Canada didnt exist in 1812. Trump is an idiot

Canada did exist in 1812. The provinces of Upper Canada and Lower Canada were incorporated as British colonial provinces in 1791, in part as a reaction to Loyalists moving from the US into British territories. The provinces weren’t independent countries, but the people who lived there were Canadians. Many Canadians were in the British forces that fought in the War of 1812, and the war was fought on Canadian territory. In Canada, Canadians consider themselves to have won the war.

So Trump is correct, though it’s a silly thing to say.

So should you yes the crusades happened but they have no relevance to modern day terrorism any more than something that happened between the U.S. Canada well over a 100 years ago has with moderan day tarrifs. Both are silly comments but neither is worthy of the hype they were given which is point that went right over your and so many other people's head

But even if we tried to split hairs as such we'd have to acknowledge that it wasn't actual Canadians who did the deed. The British initially took a defensive approach to the war, relying on local militias to fend off attempted advances by the Americans. They weren't able to commit forces to the war because Britain was already at war with France. When Napoleon was defeated Britain redeployed their forces from Europe to reinforce defenses in Canada and begin an offensive against the US. After mid -Atlantic skirmishing that made it difficult for US forces to maintain extended supply lines into Canadian regions the Chesapeake campaign was initiated. The British forces, sans Canadians, sacked Washington and moved on toward Baltimore, where the offensive stalled and resulted in the American national anthem.

You evidently do not know your history either. Wow thank you for perpetuating stereo types. Evidently Trump and supporters are short on knowlege. You have the fucking internet look up war of 1812 before commenting. It will save you from getting egg on face.

no it didn't. And the prime minister reports to Britian. oops

No, he doesn't. Canada is a sovereign state and constitutional monarchy. It's monarch happens to also be the same as the monarch of 22 other states.

The UK is a sovereign state, composed of England, Wales Scotland, and Northern Ireland. As they call it, a "nation of nations." The UK is unitary, and was formed by the unification of multiple kingdoms. The other various Commonwealth realms are not part of the UK and do not in any way answer or "report" to the government of the UK.

Nope, I read it. It was the Brits.

Gotta read those before ya post em.
The idiot is an illiterate, just like his messiah.
accept he is an accurate illiterate.
Not so as you would notice, no.
