United States :

The 2nd Amendment gives everyday people the right to have guns.

United Republic :

Guns are issued by the Government to people that the Government deems needs them, based on the applicant's employment, and there is a lifetime limit of how much ammunition can be issued based on the specific threat level associated with their job.

Different jobs that are deemed dangerous or vulnerable to crime, are issued different guns and different ammo, and different amounts of ammo, to suit their needs for self defense.

United States :
The first amendment guarantees the Freedom of Speech, Freedom of the Press, the right to organize, and the freedom of Religion.

United Republic :

The Freedom of speech is regulated against Hate Speech and offensive behavior.

The Freedom of the press is regulated against Hate Speech, Offensive behavior, Violence and Abuse in the media, and Libelous, Slander and Lies and Untruthful Advertising and Deceptive Advertising.

The right to organize is regulated against Gangs, it is illegal to form, or be a member of an organization that does not have a Permit.

The freedom of religion is regulated, against Religion being used as Science, Religion being used to Deny Science and other Education, and it is also regulated against decisions being made on behalf of minors and the Incompetent based on the decision-maker's religious beliefs.
And regulated against religious based voting, and policy making.

United States :

The Justice system is centered around extremely long prison sentences and unaffordable fines.

United Republic :

The Justice system is based on these :

ONE prison (in the entire country).

The prison is the end of the line, all of the inmates there are in there for the rest of their natural lives.
They will never get out of prison while they are still alive, they have no access to the outside world, they are not permitted to have outside contacts, they are not permitted to have visitors..
They are in their cells for 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year wearing handcuffs in front of them, and leg irons... until the day that they die.
And their food is brought directly to their cells.

No Appeals, No Parole, No Pardons, No Lawyers.

Its all over, done.

Murder, Attempted Murder, Rape, Attempted Rape, Pedophile Activity, Gang membership, Kidnapping and Abduction, Human Trafficking, Armed Robbery, Assault with a Gun, and Treason, and Terrorist activity is what gets you sent to the Prison.

For all other offenses, the system is based on a choice between a 2 year Disciplinary Boot Camp with a Chain Gang work program...
And Mental Healthcare in the State Mental Hospital.

(Mental health professionals make the choice based on evaluation)

Traffic offenses are fines and license suspensions.

Could states themselves become separate republics? Then we could all join up and become the United Republics. For some reason I believe this is all wooosh over your head

In the USA, free speech does not mean unlimited, unrestrained Freedom of Expression in public.
