Repeat after me: public employees don't pay taxes.

Say this as many times as you need to until is sinks in. NO public employee pays ANYthing for taxes, retirement, unemployment insurance, medical benefits, ANY of it.

This is a fundament of economics as simple as you get more of what you subsidize and less of what you tax. and almost no one gets it and certainly no one is talking about it. Not out in the open. It’s contrary to how our consensus public education victimhood would have us think about wealth creation, redistribution, generational theft.

How can someone who is PAID by taxing the wage-earners, the ones who CREATE value in the economy, pay taxes? It may say they do on their pay stub, sure, and they are asked to put in a little more for benefits, but in reality, every time a public employee from President Obeyme down to the least-paid garbage collector (cough-cough don't they make something like $200,000 a year in New York City?) gets a raise, it is paid for by someone who MAKES that money. The money they are paid is redistributed from wage-earners.

Think of it this way: a public employee saying the too pay taxes is like a man standing in a bathtub with a tea cup scooping up and pouring out water saying “see, I’m filling the tub.”

Think it over. Change the conversation. Pass it along. Open someone else's eyes.

The discussion should be, are we truly getting value for our money spent and how do we take control of government “by, of and for the people” back from politicians corrupted by taxpayers dollars laundered through teachers/public employee unions, planned parenthood, Solyndra, GE, and all the rest?

How do we delegitimize the naming of roads, public buildings, parks, stadiums after “public officials” who have made a lifetime’s wealth out of bilking the true wage-earners out of the fruits of their labor and, like Mooch hell Obeyme, Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton, Elizabeth Warren, done their level best to make them feel guilty for wanting to keep more of it while they live large at wage earners’ children’s children’s children’s expense.

DISTURBING fact about government workers shows Trump was right on this point all along…
Written by The Analytical Economist on January 9, 2016

It’s a good thing Trump wants to rebuild our manufacturing base, because it truly has taken a hit. We’ve turned from a nation of builders to burger flippers.

To put in perspective just how bad things have gotten – there were more Americans employed in manufacturing in the months leading up to Pearl Harbor than there are today, despite the fact that the population then was a fraction of what it is today.

In that time, there was 1 person employed in manufacturing for every 10.6 people in the overall population compared to 1 person employed in government for every 26.1 people in the overall population.

Oh how things have changed. As CNS News reported:

p-aD1qr93XuF6aC.gif

The 2015 Federal budget spends an unprecedented $3.7 trillion which leaves us with a deficit of over half a trillion dollars.

Those employed by government in the United States in August of this year outnumbered those employed in the manufacturing sector by almost 1.8 to 1, according to data published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

There were 21,995,000 employed by federal, state and local government in the United States in August, according to BLS. By contrast, there were only 12,329,000 employed in the manufacturing sector.

DISTURBING fact about government workers shows Trump was right on this point all along... - Allen B. West - AllenBWest.com
The size of the government workforce has remained stable for 50 years....Trump and his capitalist buddies have sent manufacturing jobs overseas

So blame the government workers....can you expect more from Alllen West?

VOTE DONALD TRUMP.....!

There are good government workers, I've worked for many. But there are a LOT of worthless deadbeats too stupid to be employable in the private sector. When government started allowing unions in they worked against our best interest and we have no recourse. We can't simply use another government.

This is what happens when Democrats are put in power, they put the unions in, the unions take dues from the employees and funnel it right back into the Democrats party. It should be illegal, any private company that did that would be indicted.

Ironic!! A lunch lady who was employed by her local government and now a recipient of government furnished medical care, medicaid as well as other government benefits , whining about government workers who furnish her with those benefits !!!

government-cheese-300x224.jpg

Just as Bill Clinton proclaimed.............."it depends on what the definition of is, is." Does federal employees encompass the military? How about private security firms? Off the books think tanks/pacs that are now considered private after the SCOTUS decision?

I have a better determination (no offense Steph) for how far the feds are/are not out of control. Let us see how much it costs the feds to pay their employees after adjustment for inflation today, as opposed to 1960. Find that caveat, and it will prove/disprove what Steph says, since I am positive those facts are provided by the lefties beloved government-)
Fact is Federal employment is down. We have twice the population as 1960 and the same number of employees

You listen to too many rightwing myths
Bullshit...And there are STILL too many federal employees. Far too many.

The Manufacturing Footprint and the Importance of U.S. Manufacturing Jobs
The manufacturing sector in the US accounts for 12.5% of US GDP....A number that has held steady for three decades.
More data
Snip
Manufacturing industries generated $2.1 trillion in GDP (12.5 percent of total U.S. gross domestic product) in 2013. But even these figures do not fully capture manufacturing’s role in the economy. Manufacturing provides a significant source of demand for goods and services in other sectors of the economy, and these sales to other industries are not captured in measures of manufacturing sector GDP but are counted in the broader measure of its gross output. U.S. manufacturing had gross output of $5.9 trillion in 2013, more than one-third (35.4 percent) of U.S. GDP in 2013. Manufacturing is by far the most important sector of the U.S. economy in terms of total output and employment. The manufacturing sector supported approximately 17.1 million indirect jobs in the United States, in addition to the 12.0 million persons directly employed in manufacturing, for a total of 29.1 million jobs directly and indirectly supported, more than one-fifth (21.3 percent) of total U.S. employment in 2013.

We don't manufacture much anymore?...Says who? $5.9 trillion in total contribution( 35.4%) of US GDP?....That's "not much"?
Look, the issue you libs whine about in this area is the loss of UNION jobs.
You lefties are so hung up on these archaic labor collectives.

That graph is wrong then or some one don`t know how to read one. Since when did 2500, become less than 2700. You go up from 1966 it is 2500, where 2014 is 2700.
To me that is more working for the gov now than in 1966
Fewest people SINCE 1966... not INCLUDING 1966... remedial reading is just down the hall, second door on the left... next contestant, please...

Yanno, that's a crock of lo-info happy horse crap so common among loony lefties.

Starting in the 1960s we pushed heavy manufacturing and those jobs out of the country on environmental grounds. By the 1980s technology (computers, robotics) continued the job displacement trend.

Take heart, though.

Thanks to the rapid expansion of fast food joints and bloated government more Americans are working than ever. On the other hand bloated gov't entitlement programs mean the taxes collected don't come close to covering the bill.

Something has to give. Please consider that the next time you promote more spending of OPC (other people's cash).
IMF agrees: Decline of union power has increased income inequality
Here's a little piece of vital info for you...Unions were never that powerful here.
while the stories and text books may portray unions as having a virtual stranglehold over the US labor force, the fact is membership in labor collectives peaked at around one third of all hourly workers. The happened in the 60's. Unions began a steady decline in the 1970's and beyond.
The other and even more important issue with union decline is that unions caused their own demise.

Worker pay, benefits and protections have declined along with the decline of unions. Big business likes it that way. It is easier to deal with employees when you can pit one worker against another

They get paid double what their private sector counterparts are paid (benefits), retire earlier (55), get every city, county, state and federal holiday off, never work more than 40 hours a week, complain endlessly, as a group vote for those who raise taxes and then (endlessly) increase their salaries (annual 2% cola plus 2-5% performance), are mostly unionized, and produce absolutely NO wealth for the country.

Any hope for revitalizing this country’s economy begins with massive defunding of gov workers salaries, pensions and benefits.

Otherwise it’s same ole same ole, higher taxes to accommodate the unionized gov workers constant demand for salary increases.

DISTURBING fact about government workers shows Trump was right on this point all along…

So, you destroyed the private sector jobs. You engaged in union busting. You drove down wages. You want to punish government workers rather than do anything to bring back the jobs because...........if you're miserable you want everyone else to suck it as much as you?

Yanno, that's a crock of lo-info happy horse crap so common among loony lefties.

Starting in the 1960s we pushed heavy manufacturing and those jobs out of the country on environmental grounds. By the 1980s technology (computers, robotics) continued the manufacturing job displacement trend.

How do you like China's environment?

Did I say I had or have a prob with the elimination of manufacturing jobs?

No, that was Disir and she blamed Steph.

You are, as always, a raging idiot, RW, but thanks for playing.
You made the ridiculous claim that we pushed out manufacturing on environmental grounds

Do you know what this countries environment was like in the 60s? Do you realize how hazardous China is today?
You are a moron

So from one side of your monumentally ignorant mouth you admit our environment needed help and from the other side you whine about the loss of jobs.

And you wonder why I find you loony lefties to be so terminally STUPID?

I agree with you. However there are very serious costs associated with these regulations. They do in fact push operations overseas. Regardless of what people believe, you can't have your cake and eat it too.

Thing is, rational Americans understand the loss of manufacturing jobs was a predictable and understandable result of our environmental choices.

Loony lefties like Disir and RW whine about the loss of jobs while ignoring why we pushed them out.

IMF agrees: Decline of union power has increased income inequality

The key ingredient in unequal income is unequal effort.

The loss of "union power" does not support your bogus claim that Steph "destroyed the private sector jobs."

That loss is a direct result of diminished union membership and there's a myriad of reasons for that, including the unions themselves:

"In 2011 Giant Eagle grocery stores gave several employees in Edinboro, Pa., raises. United Food and Commercial Workers Local 23 promptly sued, arguing their contract prevented the company from awarding individual pay increases. The courts agreed and ordered Giant Eagle to rescind the raises. Local 23 wanted everyone to make the same amount, no matter how good they were at their job."

Why Union Membership is Declining

No.
Was there a contract involved? What did the contract say?

You really are every bit as stupid as your posts make you seem.

The article specifically notes the raises were contrary to the union contract. The point - not that it would make any sense to one such as you - is that the union was so petty that it took the company to court to enforce LOWER PAY for the employees involved.

Damn you are stupid.

The union didn't take them to court, brainless. It was the other way around. Read it. Is there anything else that I can help you with today?
