Most people self segregate outside prison too. Don't mistake the comingling you see in society that is forced through legal mandates, as a willing participation in the diversity experiment. If that were true half the laws regarding workers rights, renters rights, banking, and loan regulations, and brown vs board of education would never exist.Of course there isn't. I don't think it's a valid comparison. Prison is an artificial environment forcing people of the same gender, into environment with no diversity or natural life.
