I don't do both...but you know what? I don't care.

I have an 86 year old mother, and a husband with serious pre-existing conditions. I'll wear a mask to keep them safe even if I look stupid.

However, the CDC has been pretty fickle about the masks...I honestly believe it doesn't help and probably 90% of people wear the same one over and over, don't wash their hands per protocol if at all. Seriously, when a person passes gas, for the "average person " it goes through at least 2 layers of clothing. This is shit particles, mind you, coming out of a person's corn-hole and floating through the air, going up into other people's nasal and mouth passages, into the mucus membranes...shit particles...but hey, it's only a FART...so no worry...however, when people COUGH, SNEEZE, SPEAK, LAUGH...ETC. those are airborne particles too, that pass through ONE layer of cloth...then float through the air...then down...maybe the corn-hole absorbs it through it's mucous membranes, idk...just making a point...masks are pretty much for psychological purposes...give people a SENSE OF "SECURITY "...as to avoid panic...and we/they don't want that now, do we/they? Plus, by having us wear them...(baa) then they are no longer held "liable "...hey, doing the best THEY can, considering ...heck, people, they had planned an exercise 201, and was working on the kinks back in late 2019...this isn't some "tin foil hat" theory...they have been doing exercises on "us" for ages...anyhoo....

I do think for myself. I think that my wearing a mask can spare someone with medical issues from getting Covid-19, I'm good with whatever minor inconvenience I have.

Also, these claims that the masks do nothing is nonsense. They do provide a barrier and some protection. Certainly more than the person who decides to stroll into the store without a mask.

I think I watched every M*A*S*H episode at least 15 times, it appears they where/are but they where dealing with open wounds , we are dealing with a biological weapon, that can get into your mouth, eyes and all..

If you have ever worn a mask, you would know that after a very short time the inside of the mask is moist. Not wet, just damp from the accumulation of moisture from your breath. And if you have Covid, every single drop of moisture is carrying the virus. Unless you are some kind of serious drooler, the majority of the moisture in your breath stops on the mask.

There are other covids out there, you know...and then swine flu,(caused by influenza a virus, subtype h1n1) , Sars-Cov-2, influenza, pneumonia? I don't see it in my corner of the USA , we use mask to be polite to one another, we have social distancing in the stores , the clerk's have polycarbonate shields.
