I think there are millions of Republicans that are starting to ask themselves--"What have I done." It's unfortunate they didn't realize who Donald Trump was, but they should have. They had months to investigate, they heard all the warnings, they heard it all and still cast a vote for him. A comedy of errors created this disaster called Donald Trump.

1. 17 GOP candidates running against one woman was a little over the top.

2. The RNC using polling data to create 2 debate stages, and against the advice of the pollsters themselves. Donald Trump with 100% name recognition, kept him front and center throughout the debates giving the impression, he was the imminent nominee, so the not so politically smart Republicans voted for him.
Pollsters: Don't trust us to winnow GOP field

Trump was just the benefactor of too many GOP candidates in this race. Votes & donation pools were being split everywhere. Scott Walker & Rick Perry saw it when they dropped out of the race immediately, and warned all other candidates, that if they didn't drop out Donald Trump would be the nominee. They were right.

3. Add to this right wing talk radio and those on FOX News that kept promoting this chimpanzee, with unprecedented news coverage, and not informing their audiences of who Donald Trump really was. Whom are also responsible for shattering the Republican party into pieces with 3 or more daily hours of right wing hyperbole, half truths and misconceptions. Continually violating Reagan's 11th commandment, "thou shall not speak ill of a fellow Republican"--basically eating their own. All for political entertainment, ratings and those obscene profit breaks. And this nominee, Donald Trump is going to go down hard.

Hillary Clinton is going to wipe the plate clean on election night. After this disaster it wouldn't surprise me in the least to see that the Republican party adds in Super Delegates of their own to their primary process. In their efforts to get a non establishment candidate they have rino'd themselves right into a Hillary Clinton Presidency, a loss of the Senate, a ton of seats in the house, and down ballot races all across this country. http://www.cnn.com/.../hillary-clinton-republican.../

Hillary Clinton was running against 2 other Democrat primary candidates, historically the GOP primaries consist of 6 or less primary candidates, not 17. There has never been 2 debate stages, nor was polling data ever used to set up any debate stage.

Donald Trump the ACCIDENTAL nominee

That's only if the freed delegates vote him as nominee. In that event, he won't be an "accidental nominee". Word is on the street that many primary voters in the various states are having buyer's regret as the one-trick Donald can't seem to stop himself and looming dates are coming where it's starting to "get real"....

Like proposing marriage to that pretty, witty drunk girl you met at the bar...and as the date of marriage looms ever closer and she's still hittin' the bar every night even though you're begging her to stop, you realize "oh, I may want to raise kids with my wife..."... Cold feet. You, know..

Republicans wanted the bully, they wanted a tough guy to stand up for them and make them heard, they wanted a strong person who would reverse what they thought was weakness, but never considered the bully didn't measure up, and then they were left with nothing.

They even figured out in 2012, that they would need minority votes to win the next election. They didn't listen. They wanted abortion laws, they wanted to punish Hispanic anchor children, they wanted to stop gays from marrying, they told women to shut up when they asked for equal pay, they pushed their agenda even when Democrats warned them you will lose elections if you cross that line.

So here we are, the hated Queen of Democratic politics is ready to be seated and who gave the most helping hand? Please accept that you only have yourselves to blame.

Agreed this is a self made Republican disaster, now we have Michael Reagan, describing why his father Ronald Reagan would have never voted for Donald Trump.

Well no one made as much noise in this race as this old fart. In the 2008 Primary Obama won by a mere 41.622 votes. In 2016 Hillary Clinton has a lead of 3,720,366 votel lead and this nursing home candidate still hasn't dropped out--LOL

and over a dozen of those 17 made little noise, but they were candidates, weren't they?

and I'm surprised Sanders advanced as much as he did.

Thought sure O'Malley or Webb would have shut him out.

and I forgot about Chafee.

but then, so did everyone else
