This article is a study in tepid contradictions. It appears that she's just complaining about the lack of concise and accurate information coming out of the CDC about the death count and the distribution of the drug. Honestly, the CDC director was Trump's appointee. Why are you surprised about the operation of this agency under the "leadership" of the current President?

OK. Trump appointed this guy to head the CDC. That guy filled his top positions with his own team. Trump has been receiving top secret briefings on the virus since at least December. He is the President of the United States. He alone has the power to direct agencies to act. They don't just get to act unilaterally. So....the question is, why didn't he? Probably because of his well publicized inability to process pieces of information from these briefings that are bigger than the size of a Chicken McNugget. Or the fact that he didn't think the virus was going to turn out to be a big deal.

We have had a handful of diversity hires over the past few decades, we generally end up with a pool of qualified candidates to pick from. A few times the diversity candidate is not as well qualified as some others. They don't get hired.
