Trump would be better off if he didn't add insult to the tragedy that happened there. He's not going to make things better for them, or himself.

Now, I'm not sure about that, Bulldog. If I were one of the family members who had lost a child or a sister, brother, mother, I would be quite touched that the President came personally to give me his condolences, regardless of his politics.
Of course, I'm not Hispanic or a dyed in the wool Democrat either. But I think many will appreciate the President's effort.

It's the family members who are saying for him to stay away. You think they aren't aware of the rhetoric he spouted that encouraged that crazy shooter? We all know what to expect from Trump. He's incapable of making any speech that isn't about him. Right now, they don't want it to be about him.

If the family members don't want anything to do with him, okay, but what if other people in the area have something that they want to let him know? They have a right to get their voices out there to him too.

Denial. Democrats DO support open borders and if they didn't they would have secured the border years ago and there would not be 20 million people in this country illegally. And now they believe Comprehensive Immigration Reform with solve the illegal immigration and there will be no one in the country illegally because they will all be given legal status with a path to citizenship and that is an invitation for more to enter illegally and they protect them from being deported. At some point, we will have to control immigration because it is going to destroy us all environmentally and economically. If they did all you say they did then why is there a crisis on the border? We are no longer into nation-building but in nation survival. The shooting in El Paso was caused by the non-action of Democrats.
