I first heard him on the radio in the late 1960s. My Song, Crocodile Rock, good bye yellow brick road were played often on the local radio station.

No not that I know of but his health was in bad shape from last I heard.

Elton was grossly overweight and I'm sure he stopped touring to concentrate on his health.

Empty Garden was my fave. I didn't know it was a tribute to Lennon, my thought as a kid was just some old man named Johnny who lived in the neighbourhood, taking care of his garden until he passed.
