Erik Erikson's RED STATE disinvites Trump after "blood" comments about Megyn Kelly

I was not impressed with Trump's performance during the debate, but the one thing he has managed to do is show that FAUX News, Megyn Kelly and Erik Erikson are nothing more than mouthpieces for the establishment RINO wing.

The one thing Trump has been masterful at is exposing who is part of the establishment, and for that Trump deserves a standing, whistling ovation.
The 'establishment' being the few sane republicans left interested in responsible governance.
You do realize this is an oxymoron ;)

Why is this thread so funny?

Because when all is said and done none of this dust up will hurt Trump. Only help him.

Eric's a bloody fool to jump on the PC train. And a mega fool to have cancelled Trump's invitation.

Eric is also a fucking hypocrite.

Anyone remember when he called Supreme Court Justice David Souter a GOAT FUCKING CHILD MOLESTER?

Eric isn't running for anything.

Eric also isn't attacking what is nominally his own side

Now, I usually don't make a habit of interferring with my enemies when they are in the process of destroying themselves, but the thing is, you guys really need to get rid of Trump.

This is an opportunity, if Bush or Walker could take it. They could go out and defend Megan Kelley's womanhood, saying that kind of sexism has no place in modern discourse.

NO, the real problem is that you guys can't deal with the contradiction of hating the government and wanting to run the government.

But I do love watching you guys turn on your own.

...yes, being part of increasing our debt to $19 trillion and counting, giving us the lowest labor force participation rate ever is clearly 'responsible governance'

Yup, there isn't a Republican in the field with 18 years as First Lady like Hillary.

Nor have they set records for air miles.

But then, she nor Biden have ever run a state, has they?

Had to worry about the budget, etc, that governors have the final say on.

But, on the bright side...

even the least experienced Republican running has as much experience as Obama did when he became president.

Can't WAIT for that to be brought up in campaign ads.
You said: even the least experienced Republican running has as much experience as Obama did when he became president.

Obama had already traveled all over the world. He worked on Wall Street. He was in public office at the state and national level (where he wrote or co wrote many bills that became law). He taught constitutional law at the university level for 10 years. He was a community organizer motivating and organizing (which is what the president is supposed to do) and he worked at the conservative Annenberg Foundation (probably why he liked Reagan) for years.

No wonder he kicked GOP ass at the Republican retreat. Constantly under estimating him simply because he's black.

I like ;)

Notice nobody picked up on his brilliant policy on healthcare, nor bothered to get his opinion on the Iran deal during the debate? Pundits are more focused on bullshit rather than substance and yes Trump has put forth a lot of substance. If people really bothered to listen to him speak rather than forming their opinions on soundbites the msm plays they'd learn something about him. There's a reason Trump is killing in the polls and it's not because of his boorish behavior.
Again, and I hate to burst your bubble, Trump is doing well with circa (maximum) 30% of the GOP electorate. But among Indies he's already cooked to a crisp, stick a fork in him.

Hell, Clinton even beats Trump in the rural vote.

When was the last time you saw a Democrat winning by +20 in National polling?

There's a whole year ahead yet. If Trump can weather the storm and stay on message he'll do just fine with independent's. He's doing just fine with this indie ;)

Worse case scenario (depending who's looking at it) he goes independent and the RW nutters are left with their pants around their ankles and a Clinton Presidency. I'm good either way. Doesn't matter if Bush or Clinton is in office, it's just more of the same. Puppets....the whole lot.

Well, ok, if you think so.

But I will repeat: I have never seen a presidential candidate come from 20 behind in the year before to win a GE in the year following - EVER. And ever since polling started with Gallup, it's never happened.
This is a whole other ballgame brother. Trump will not pander to donors or lobbyist and that makes him VERY "dangerous" (as those who have paid attention to him have seen) Like Trump or not he only answers to us, the American people, so he's a wild card and that can sway many votes. His message should resonate with a lot of indie's when the smoke clears and they can no longer drown out his policies.

Heck if you paid attention to him, you'd see that his ideas/policies are not at all radical. They're pretty straightforward. No political slant. I do believe a lot of independents will see and support that. The more they are exposed to the "clown car" the more they will see that Trump just may be their guy.

It's going to be an entertaining year for sure. It's fantastic watching the establishment make asses of themselves in front of the American people. I'll enjoy their loss at the polls if they don't wise up.
Nonsense.

Trump is as much as a politician as any other candidate, it's naïve and delusional to believe otherwise.

He lies like any other politician, will tell you what you want to hear like any other politician, and is concerned solely for his own best interests like any other politician.

Trump doesn't answer to lobbyists, donors, or 'us.'

I disagree. He is a wheeler dealer and that is something that can come in handy in the oval office...especially when making trade pacts.

The only ones he answers to would be the people. No bribing the Donald.

Outside of Jeb, none have set foot in the White House. None have any hands on experience in the executive branch, none have any foreign policy experience.
Both Hillary and Biden know international leaders on a first name basis, they understand international dynamics, they understand how Washington functions and who the power players are.

NONE of the Republicans have that kind of experience. None have impressive political resumes

and neither did Obama when you put him in the WH.

he didn't have nearly the experience that McCain had.

and he wasn't much better when he ran against Romney.

Why does experience matter now, when it didn't in the last 2 presidential elections?
Very true

And We the People elected Obama. We determined that he was preferable to the best available Republican candidate
Your problem is that you do not have an Obama in your clown car. Obama was the most dynamic political phenomenon in a generation
So all you have is an inexperienced clown car who is currently getting their collective asses kicked by a reality TV star with zero experience

Your problem is that you do not have an Obama in your clown car.

(Thank Goodness)

Obama was the most dynamic political phenomenon in a generation

(Cue laugh track)

So all you have is an inexperienced clown car

and you have a short bus.

a former First Lady that got elected on her husbands name, with a consolation prize of SoS, for which she is under investigation.

a Socialist.

2 other non entities.

and POSSIBLY, a sitting VP, who is already a 2 time loser in presidential runs.
What a weak response

I'll take it as a concession of failure on your part

weak?

Only to a weak partisan mind.

Did Hillary get elected on her merits?

if so, why didn't she run in her other home, Arkansas?

Was she picked for SoS on her merits?

BWAHAHAHAHA

Bernies not a socialist?

In what dimension?

Biden hasn't already lost 2 runs for president?
Hillary was elected twice in landslides by her merit
I know conservatives don't like it, but she kicked their butts

Hillary had the political and personal experience in dealing with foreign leaders.....NONE of today's Republicans have that

Biden has decades of experience as a Senator and will complete eight years as Vice President. No Republican comes close

This field of Republicans is WEAK. They have minimal experience compared to either Hillary or Joe Biden

that's what has them ALL scared. He can't be BOUGHT off like Hillary was when she fell on the sword and gave up her run for the first WOMAN President of the United states: for that fake black man Obama and he gifted her with the position of SOS so she could still suck a living off us taxpayers for the rest of her pathetic life

But he was black and played on that. People thought we needed a black president so we got one,

Where is all this money going? I ask this because I believe something highly criminal is going on...

It certainly isn't going to maintain infrastructure, science, or education that benefits the little guy. Look at the data for two seconds and you will find this to be true. We're at the lowest level in infrastructure funding since George hw Bush.

The clown faces can't get enough input about it and Atlanta dis-invited Trump while Americans still think he is the best candidate. What does that tell you about the left, chickenshit republicans and the media?

Eric is dead in the water now. Trump never said jack shit about her period.

Just called out her bitchiness.

Trust me. I'm concentrating on a fed up here backed by a conservative roll provincially.

Ready to rock,.

Donald Trump Megyn Kelly had blood coming out of her wherever - CNNPolitics.com

Donald Trump's latest controversial comment was so alarming that he's been disinvited from a conservative gathering Saturday in Atlanta.

At issue: Trump's comments on "CNN Tonight" about Fox News' Megyn Kelly, who moderated a GOP presidential candidate debate Thursday night. During the debate, she pressed Trump about misogynistic, sexist comments he made in the past.

Trump slammed Kelly, saying "she is a lightweight. I couldn't care less about her."

"You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes," Trump told CNN's Don Lemon on Friday night. "Blood coming out of her wherever."

That remark crossed the line, said RedState.com editor Erick Erickson. He disinvited Trump from the RedState Gathering, a conservative event featuring GOP presidential hopefuls this weekend in Atlanta.

"I have tried to give a great deal of latitude to Donald Trump in his run for the presidency," Erickson wrote.

"He is not a professional politician and is known for being a blunt talker. He connects with so much of the anger in the Republican base and is not afraid to be outspoken on a lot of issues. But there are even lines blunt talkers and unprofessional politicians should not cross. Decency is one of those lines."

For the unititiated, Red State Gathering is a pretty darned large event and Erik Erikson is a stalwart Conservative from a state in the Deep South.

You know that Donald Trump has trouble when even staunch Conservatives disinvite him.

Also being reported here:

Trump dumped from conservative event in Atlanta over inappropriate comments Reuters

And this is a fun quote:

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was dumped from a prime speaking role to an important gathering of conservative activists on Friday for his criticism of Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly after a combustible debate performance.

Trump was scheduled to deliver the keynote address on Saturday night at a conference in Atlanta organized by Red State, an influential conservative group.

Red State chief Erick Erickson said he had disinvited Trump from the event because of what he described as "demeaning" remarks about Kelly who was one of three moderators during the first major Republican debate on Thursday night in Cleveland.

"While I have tried to give him great latitude, his remark about Megyn Kelly was a bridge too far," Erickson said, adding he had invited Kelly, one of Fox's highest profile anchors, to attend his conference in Trump's place.

Trump was unbowed by the dumping.

"This is just another example of weakness through being politically correct," his campaign said in a statement.

"For all of the people who were looking forward to Mr. Trump coming, we will miss you. Blame Erick Erickson, your weak and pathetic leader. We'll now be doing another campaign stop at another location."

The Republican party is now in a state of flux......so many of their less informed conservatives are in a snit over Megan Kelly's harsh questioning and are defending the Bozo's attack on all women and Megan Kelly herself. Will Trump be the one that brings Faux News down? So many are mad at Faux News for treating their idol so badly.....never mind that Trump insulted all the women....which just proves, the men defending Trump don't give a crap about women, they are objects to them....so they think what Trump says about them is just fine....and the women, must be a bunch of bimbos, to accept that kind of treatment.....like robotic Stepford Wives,

Wonder how this party is going to end.....will they make Trump run 3rd party? Yeah....that would be nice, or will they accept him as their candidate and show the country they're just as crass and ugly as Trump which will be just as nice.

I think it's just par for the course....of course so many of them like Trump's nastiness....they've been brewing it inside their own selves for quite some time.

You ARE worse than a gossiping old lady

if Kelly had come after Hillary the way she Trump. your all freaking heads would spinning and spewing green slime. none of you on the left should be allowed to VOTE for our LIVES

are we suppose to give a shit over someone nobody KNOWS

So, Steph.....are you on the record as not liking Megan Kelly too much for putting bozo down? Hillary wouldn't have been putting women down, for one thing....of course, you being such a sheeple....don't mind Trump calling you names.
