Expose Planned Parenthood, Get a Felony

There is a difference between trying to film someone in their home, and filming an interaction in a public place, or a place of business. Plus this is an issue of national level importance. The items discussed were not personal, they were about business transactions.

I'm not seeing the difference. Neither does the law.

Just because they got egg on the face of an organization you get on your knees and fellate on a daily basis doesn't mean we have to end all investigative journalism.

I've got no problem with investigative journalism. This was fraud, as the tapes were deceptively edited after they were illegally made.

There is a huge difference, you just don't want to see it because someone went after one of your sacred cows.

They also released the unedited tapes, something which you guys routinely ignore.

All journalists edit tapes, just ask Katie Couric.

And the unedited tapes show the Frauds asking questions to get the kinds of responses they wanted describing graphic details.... That's why they were charged... for fraud.

Kind of like when NBC put sticks of dynamite to make a pickup explode.

The fraud charges in Texas got dropped, right? They are being charged for recording someone without their permission, something even the ACLU is hedgy about.

The editing doesn't change the words the people said, didn't change the fact that money changed hands for fetal tissue, even if it wasn't for a profit.

Again, ask Katie Couric about editing, or any other lefty journalist (redundant)

How about asking the Daily show?

So planned parenthood is the only source of health care for women? Who would have known.....

That law is clearly unconstitutional as it restricts the ability of a free press.

No, it's perfectly constitutional as it protects privacy rights.

I mean, otherwise, I could plant cameras in your house, put embarrassing videos on YouTube and call it journalism.

Suuure, never mind their claims were complete and utter bullshit. Even after no less than 13 states investigated the matter independently, not one found any wrong-doing on the part of Planned Parenthood. I hope those two go to jail. Set an example for other nut cases out there who think they can make up bullshit and then break the law in a failed attempt to prove it.

There's no law against selling fetal tissue as long as it's not for profit. Go pound sand.

They may have not done anything provable as illegal, but by yours and others reactions the disseminating of the fact that yes, money changes hands for aborted tissue, and yes, some of the people involved can be quite callous about it is the real thing that bothers you. It ruins your mental exercise of treating the procedure as something as simple as lancing a boil.

And "for profit" is an amorphous thing which is hard to prove either way, what with how one can become creative with determining expenses and such.

Money changed hands, the people discussing it seemed callous while the conversations happened, even if no "profit" was made it makes them look rather ghoulish, which is why you idiots are so adamant about shutting things like this down regardless of the cost or the morality of it.

All I care about is that justice is served. It appears those two individuals violated the law. Let them have their day in court and then toss them into prison if convicted.

No, all you care about is preserving your own sacred cows. If this was a tobacco company sting, or it involved some church group, you would have provided the jump drive to the guy doing the recording.

Your rank hypocrisy stinks.

This will be thrown out, and hopefully will set up a court ruling on California's unconstitutional law.

Planned Parenthood was investigated no fewer than 13 times and no one found they charged obstensibly more than their costs for their services. It matters not that money changed hands; by law, money can change hands.

And of course the looked ghoulish... it's a ghoulish profession and an even more ghoulish procedure. That was the whole reason the Center of Medical Progress video recorded it and released it to the public. I have no doubt they fully expected the macabre scenes would be so distasteful to the public, that those images, along with CMP's portrayal of profiteering from selling baby parts, would be enough to stir the nation into seriously reconsidering Roe v Wade.

What they didn't account for was that in today's day and age, access to information is at virtually everyone's fingertips. Perhaps in the past, they could have pulled this stunt off; but now, within 24 hours, most folks following the story learned that Planned Parent was not in this business for profit... they were charging little more than their operational costs for their services... these procedures, as ghoulish as they are, are completely within the law... abortions weren't being performed for the sake of selling baby parts, but would have been disguarded anyway if not sold... the parts being sold for legitimate research can be enormously beneficial to advance medical progress. Once people figured this out, the folks at CMP became the villains for apparently breaking the law to catch PP doing something which turned out to be legal.

Isn't "a little more than cost" for services a profit?

and CMP are seen as villains only be people in the thrall of PP like you are, you good little lemming.

Your whole response is nothing but a flimsy rationalization, and PP's press for California to prosecute the people who made them look bad is nothing but revenge.

What they didn't account for is PP's lobby having a States Attorney General's office in the palm of their hand. Or maybe they did count on it. Remember by bringing them to trial they can open all sorts of doors open for information requests for their defense, and if not at the Court level, than at the appeal level.

read the law... negligibly more than cost is permissible.

And no, it's not just folks like me who perceive CMP to be the villains. Apparently, so does the law.

Interestingly enough, they haven't even had their day in court yet and you already see them being convicted.

They should not have been charged in the first place. Even the ACLU has issues with people trying to bring matters of public issue to record being prosecuted, and considering they think abortion is the bee's knees, that should tell you something.

However, since this is a political witch hunt anyway, the chance of them being railroaded is pretty high. Plus, even if they don't get convicted, they now have to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars defending themselves. It's called lawfare, and progressives have been using it as part of their dirty bag of tricks for a decade or so now.

No, it's perfectly constitutional as it protects privacy rights.

They may have not done anything provable as illegal, but by yours and others reactions the disseminating of the fact that yes, money changes hands for aborted tissue, and yes, some of the people involved can be quite callous about it is the real thing that bothers you.

I like how you make up positions I didn't take and then attack me for them. :lmao:

What a schmuck you are, eh?

That aside, we'll see about the rest of your diatribe. Very doubtful California's law will be ruled unconstitutional.
