The whole Soylent Green is people was BS, but the human race cause of the death of the environment due to overpopulation will likely come true since the estimated population of planet Earth was 4 Billion people the year after the movie was released, and it's estimated to be 8 Billion people only two years from now.. That's a doubling of the Earth's population in only 50 years.
