There is only one Asian restaurant that I buy from - the little Chinese shop that sells the best fried rice in the city.

Its also the place that gave my sister severe food poisoning a few months ago. It hasn't turned me off, though. Been going there for years and never a problem.

who knows how many people over the decades have come down with a mystery illness that was originated from eating at a restaurant. they didn't feel it right away, for many of them, the symptoms may have not kicked in from 1 to 2 months later, like I mentioned, I spent many years working in the industry and didn't take long for me to have the fear of dining out, being I have witnessed plenty of very unhealthy incidents that took place in kitchens.

Ask them if they went to a hospital to be diagnosed with food poisoning, and they haven't. Idiots.

fortunately I was able to prevent two very unthinkable debacles no restaurant would ever want to face, as a banquet server, I was filling an ice bucket, and I saw a cube with a large and bloddy mosquito in it,,,if someone else didn't catch it, it would of likely wound up in someones drink,,,on another occasion I watched a bus girl slice up some bread and saw blood on the bread! and she didn't notice! bussers often cut themselves slice their fingers cutting bread, sometimes very severe! another reason I am afraid to go out dining.

Yeah, I get sick when I eat that calorie and fat loaded, unhealthy crap. It's poison to eat that shit! Tons of carbs, sugars, fat and salt, to cover up.

American Corporations could do better. They've attempted to go the Slave Labor route for too long. And they've been enabled by misguided people who for some reason, feel compelled to vigorously defend them at every turn. My guess is, they feel they're defending Capitalism when they do so. But i assure you, the Corporations don't need defending. They're doing well. It's the lowly worker who needs the defending.

If Businesses paid better, we would likely have less Citizens living off Government handouts. So it would benefit Taxpayers in the end. If you can't pay a worker a decent wage, you shouldn't be in business. So enough of the whining about needing Illegals to the jobs. You can't have your slaves. So it's time to get over that and move on. We should treat our fellow Americans better. We can surely do that.

Slave labor does not have the option of quitting and selling their labor elsewhere. It's sort of part of the definition of slave.

Each and everyone of those fast food employers has a stack of applications and more coming in every day. Each of the strikers should come back to work to find out that in their unexcused absence, they were replaced.

Try to see things from their perspective. Find it in your heart to have more compassion. There will be some good Karma in it for ya.

I am willing to bet that most don’t need to try because they HAVE seen things from their perspective. I have worked fast food myself.

That perspective does not impart much sympathy. As a matter of fact, I think that most people that have worked in industries like that have LOST sympathy for those workers. After a few days working there you realize exactly why the people are there; either they are worthless workers or they are still in high school.

I just ate at Arbys $8 bucks is it just me or is just one meal tied into the local state minimum wage? I swear where ever I go out and eat at a fast food joint its $8 bucks.

Arby's has always been expensive. I only eat there if I have coupons.

I wonder what the rules are for all of the burger franchises when it comes to dropping food on the filthy greasy floors? its always a matter of seconds. McDonalds? 10 seconds? I used to work in hospitality, and some line cooks refused to dispose of very expensive cuts of various steaks, if they dropped a 39 dollar filet, odds are, it still wound up back on the plate (but Im sure they wiped the floor grease off with a clean white rag).

The rule is simple - it it's dropped, it goes in the trash.

I actually like Arbys, although I havent eaten there in 8 months. I usually make most of my food myself, except the the occasional trip to Churchs Chicken or Chinese every few weeks.

There is a reason of the fast food type place I prefer Steak n Shake. First, they treat their fast food establishment like a restaurant, therefore, the workers get tips and actually make more than minimum wage. Not to mention it gets some experience to get at least a better waiter job. Some waiters make decent money. Nothing to write home about, but enough to pay the rent. Second, they have amazing prices and special, like kids eat free on weekend. Lastly, the food is high quality. I would take their burger over McD, Wendy, Burger King etc any day of the week.
