August, September Payrolls Both Revised Higher
The Labor Department's revised readings on August and September reflect a stronger backdrop for hiring.
Total nonfarm payroll employment for August was revised up from 169,000 to 208,000, while the September was revised up from -33,000 to 18,000.
With these revisions, employment was 90,000 higher than previously reported
