Well, when the Capitol police confer with the House and Senate sergeants at arms about the prospect of accepting the offer of national guard assistance, and the latter reject the offer (presumably after consulting the Speaker of the House, etc.), it isn’t a surprise to me that the “defense” was so shabby.what a poorly crafted defense against the capital.
