This is a picture of these immigrants outside a police station in Chicago that I took in September, since then the busses have not stopped running, and more room to house and feed these refugees have not magically appeared. It would seem all of these cities are feeling the pain, not just border states and cities. The inside of the station is jammed full of people.

No they aren’t, they are applying for political asylum which few or none of them will qualify for. But now they can live and work here for the next decade or so without worrying about deportation. The vast majority wont even bother to show up for their court dates, they will have just disappeared, had kids and tried to set roots firmly enough that they won’t be deported when their asylum is denied,
