Former FBI boss warns prosecutor might see Trump search warrant tossed out entirely

The raid occurred because of the choices Dementia made and screwing up the country so bad. He's so far down in the polls it will be amazing if the turnover isn't a new record.
Be honest. Is it at all surprising that the government seeks to retrieve classified documents from a former government employee?

Because at the heart of it, that’s what’s happening here.

1. Trump shouldn’t have taken them
2. He should have given them back when NARA asked.
3. He should have given them back when subpoenaed.

He had so many opportunities to avoid this by just complying with the law.

Cannon is anything but impartial. Trump is trying everything in his power to put his lawsuits in front of her for just this reason.

Given the government is treating them as classified, it’s clear there’s no record that they’ve been declassified.

If Trump declassified them, why won’t he say it unequivocally before the judge?
Because, if you have two functioning brain cells, you do everything you possibly can to avoid being put in a position where a hostile, grandstanding prosecutor can ask you anything, no matter your guilt or innocence. Ya gotta love internet keyboard jockeys who become legal experts after reading a few headlines. "Well, if you have nothing to hide, obviously you'd let us go through your underwear drawer. If you have nothing to hide, obviously you'd let us see all your medical records. If you have nothing to hide, obviously you'd go to trial where an experienced attorney could get you convicted of some law you broke at one time or other, while the salivating haters pick your life apart online, pretending they have a clue what they're talking about".

The FBI was handed a folder of documents and told they could not search for more.

So basically you lied. Or repeated a lie. Either way, you’re a moron.
At least, that's what the headlines on your favorite site told you happened.

Venue shopping is not well regarded. Everyone with two brain cells knows that.

If Trump wanted to avoid this, he could have easily done so a year ago. Instead he made a situation where the FBI raided his house after he failed to comply with less intrusive methods of retrieving highly classified documents.

That’s what the DoJ said in a legal filing where they would face sanctions for lying.

I haven’t heard anyone from Trump’s camp say otherwise. They definitely haven’t said it before a judge.

Actually Trump did comply with the DOJ but they weren't happy they didn't find anything incriminating.

If he had complied, they wouldn’t have found about 100 classified documents in his house.

Show me where Trump violated any subpoena. The Left Bi went there, Trump told them to take what they want which they did, and they left. Afterwards they wanted more and Trump's lawyers were in discussion about it. No subpoena.

How many did they find as the DOJ has not been transparent. The only things reported were leaks to the NY Times and WaPo.
Investigations are not transparent. It’s to protect the people being investigated and the integrity of the investigation.

If Trump hadn’t violated the subpeona the FBI wouldn’t have walked out of his house with a hundred documents with classification markings.

they aren’t appointed by the president or approved by the senate
