I just think that someone who wants to be cremated with bacon is just about as unrealistic a scenario as someone who wants to be cremated while smeared with feces.

I also believe that if a business refuses to perform its normal activity simply because of who the customer is then it is discrimination unless there is a darn good reason (such as customer's health and/or age). I wouldn't list sexual preference as a darn good reason not to perform a cremation.

I don't understand why anybody would want to FORCE someone to dispose of a loved one's body. Why don't they just use a different business?

I think the issue is as I read it, this is that the funeral home was chosen and then the funeral home found out the deceased was gay and that's why they have said no.

Knowing this would cause a public situation, they should have just said they couldn't do it because they were already over booked or something if they feel so strongly about not cremating him.

As I said he's dead so who actually cares anymore if he was a gay man or a straight man, it doesn't matter anymore.

I don't care, but my point is that the whole idea of forcing people to accommodate homos at the milestones of their lives is asinine, when there are so many businesses that are happy to serve them.

Nothing and nobody is as dangerous as the evangelical hate groups masquerading as christians so I'm sure you agree that no business should be forced to deal with those nasty fundies.
