Gaetz “Ukraine Fatigue” Resolution suspends additional military & financial aid to Ukraine & urge combatants to reach a peace agreement immediately

Once OBL left Tora Bora, Bush stopped chasing him
Took Obama to finally kill the SOB
Did you ever see the movie "Zero-Dark Thirty"? (great movie, Chastaine was super)
It proves you wrong.

p.s. ALWAYS WRONG BIDEN VOTED NOT TO KILL OBL LOL!!!! Still has his record intact!!

We're into a situation now in which Russia is going to demand negotiations on their terms. That which can't be hidden is the Ukraine is being systematically destroyed , their military being slaughtered, and the civilian population leaving.

And Russia is definitely in it for the duration with Putin.

America made a big mistake in thinking that Russia was going to be easy.

But more important than all else, Russia offered a peaceful resolution!

Putin's peaceful resolution - you let us steal your lands and in return you stfu and recognize it as Russian territory. And if we don't like what you are doing in your own country later on, we'll invade again.

What country in their right mind would sign up for that so long as they have military means to take their land back and in the process send aggressor's regime into retirement/grave?

Ukraine doesn't have to sign up for it. We also aren't required to fund their decision just because they make it. There should be some discussion/debate about what's in our (the US's) best interests. That isn't and hasn't happened all throughout this whole situation. There's this ridiculous binary where either you're for giving Ukraine essentially anything it wants or you're a Putin supporter. People who want nothing other than some form of accounting of where the money and weapons are going are castigated. It's crazy.

The hardest part of an invasion is holding on to captured territory. The US learned that the hard way

Unless you are “treated like a liberator” you will be hounded for decades until you give up and leave.

Putin has done nothing to win over the people in captured territory. In fact, the brutal treatment of the civilian population has turned citizens who may have favored Russia against him

We sure could use that $100 Billion of our tax dollars that we earned with our own hard work here at home.

Withdrawing aid to Ukraine is supporting Putin.
Without Western aid, Putin keeps captured territory.

What about the $2 trillion we spent on Afghanistan?

Republicans never demanded an accounting of the funds or told us how many domestic programs were sacrificed

We spend $850 billion a year on our military. Republicans never argue how it is better used at home

Werent you against what we did in Afghanistan?

Werent you against what we did in Afghanistan?
Iraq too

Cant you see the difference between sending our military half way around the world and allowing another country to do the fighting and dying with our support?

Biden has played it correctly

Who said they HAVE TO? They are their own country and if they want to give up their lands to Russia it's their decision...it just doesn't make good sense.

American interest is INTERNATIONAL STABILITY AND LAWFUL ORDER.

Putin's baseless invasion violated all of these principles and if successful would only mean more such violations in long term.

What America and Europe are spending to help Ukraine fight for their sovereignty now is a small price to pay for teaching new age emperors wanna-be like Putin the many errors of their foreign policy.

Putin's defeat in Ukraine ensures long term peace in the region and most likely a collapse of autocratic cleptocracy regime in Russia.

No one which is my point.

That may be but we aren't even having a discussion about whether it is or it isnt. We are just blindly funding whatever it is Ukraine wants.

1. We need to stop acting like we didnt play a role in causing this.

2. Ukraine's independence and I think they should be independent, and that Russia is wrong for invading them doesn't mean that much to US interests.

See above. We keep acting like we didnt push Russia into this. Doesnt mean their response is correct but we own a decent amount of this debacle.

No it doesn't. It doesn't mean that any more than the collapse of the Soviet Union did.

Actually, we aren’t

We are very specific about the equipment we are sending and how it is to be used.
Our military experts are providing not just logistics but training, intelligence, tactics and military planning

And when we started there were going to be no patriot missiles, until there were, 2 days before we agreed to send them tanks the President was saying we weren't going to send tanks. On a long enough timeline Ukraine is getting everything it wants. There's talk of sending them fighter aircraft now.
