Well, yes. Obama embraced Milton Friedman and the Bernanke's respose to disinflation, and that utlimately benefits the very top ... or capital. That doesn't mean they were wrong in responding to the credit crisis, but it does tend to show Obama in not a socialist and that his policies had some results contrary to what he said he wanted.

As for Will, Obama intially supported Arab self-determination, but in practice the replacement govts were less friendly to the US than those replaced. Will seems to argue we shoud do more nation building, or perhaps supprot Morsis, but that's seriously out of whack.

I don't think it will be possible for a person percieved as so "pro change" as obama to challange us to see where our interests coincide with our traditional enemies, as did Nixon and Reagan.

Obama's nominally less a disaster than W, at least in terms of Americans dead and maimed. I'm not happy about either, though. We need a fundamental shift. So far, Hill's the only one with a Nixonesque stature who might be able to pull it off.

Jeb, but he's carrying W's baggage. A republican governor will be in AIPACs pocket. Powell or Condi ... at one time, but that's over.

The positive is that it's in neither Russia's, or China's, or even Iran's, interests to see failed states where terrorists are free to plot attacks against the top economies.
