Simpletons are too stupid to understand the US supports Israel because it has been a democracy that has kept the peace compared to its Arab neighbors that have attacked it numerous times.

After World War II, the US and UK wanted to ensure there was a safe place for Jews to exist after millions were wiped out in Europe. Many muslims didn't like their old neighbors coming back and attacked them like they did when they supported the Axis powers during WW2.

The Arab countries aligned with the evil in the world at the time which was the USSR and got most of their weapons to use against Israel from the USSR. The US then supplied Israel to defend itself from the USSR backed Arabs, it was as if the socialists were trying to finish the job their Nazi buddies started back in the 1930s.

Many Arabs/muslims being uneducated people and poor people were and still are good terrorist recruits because they can be told lie after lie after lie about Americans and the Jews. I guarantee if you go to one of the worst muslim ghettoes in the middle east that you will hear crazy stories about Americans killing and torturing muslims in the USA. The best way to deal with Karzai is to tell him we aren't giving him and his goons anymore money....and we are not shutting down all of our bases. We are keeping a lethal force to kill the Taliban and if needed kill him and his goons if they get out of line. He can either help us kill the Taliban or become a target too.

Afghanistan had nothing to do with Israel. It was the pure and unadulterated anger and hate that this nation had following one of the first attacks on our soil perpetrated against civilians. It was a terrible attack heard around the nation and the people wanted retribution. After we located cells that made up a large part of the supposed group that perpetrated the attacks, there was little else to do but go in and take care of them.


American blood for Israeli interest is rather a misplaced statement anyway. It is much more the other direction. Israeli blood is often spilt in defense of American interests. Realize, this is not in the traditional manner. I believe we keep Israel close for at least one key reason: they absorb almost all the ire from that VERY volatile region. It keeps the region from uniting and gives them a common target that is NOT US. THAT is the primary role that Israel plays for the US. Further, they continue militaristic campaigns against those neighbors whenever they feel necessary. Moves that the US might just want to make but they do not want to take the political or international fallout for doing so. Israel, OTOH, does as she pleases giving us a tremendously useful scapegoat when something needs to be bombed.

Its his country he is the president of that country he can do as he wants. I applaud him for taking the initiative. We need to stop spilling American blood overseas.

2 is somewhat incomplete. Wile that is ONE reason, those using radicalism as a power conduit would target the US no matter how much involvement we had over there. The simple fact if the matter is that our success, power, prestige and wealth are all going to draw the ire of those that do not have such. Add to that the fact that we are mostly a Judeo-Christian nation and we present a key target throughout the Islamic world.

It is a fact that we are not the hardest hit (Muslims actually target their own far more) and that many other western nations that have little involvement in the politics of the middle east have been attacked multiple times. That shows the involvement we have is but a single piece of the my7riad of motivators that extremists use to attack us. Many of those reasons are not something that we can or should change. By sheer virtue of our success and religious demographics we ARE going to be a target. Our policy should NOT be centered around trying to eliminate that as such is impossible.
