Whilst the passengers probably did not know the family was a Gold Star family they did know they were military connected....outrageous behavior...some people can get so trivial...absolutely unacceptable!!!

The flight had already been delayed for 45 minutes, and they were delayed again with no more explanation than they were a military family. If the passengers had been informed of the complete situation, there would have been a completely different response. You're just trying to make something out of nothing.

Only a truly dense and/or self-absorbed creep would fail to realize that if a military family is being given priority for deboarding, it is most likely due to something very tragic.

How can you try to blame the passengers when they didn't know the situation?

Why couldn't they behave like adults and ask why?

Wasn't their responsibility to ask. The person making the announcement screwed up. Simple as that.

One could still have elected to push for more information as opposed to what they did, but you're right, americans are never responsible for anything, guilt, sin, and blame, as they onder why nothing ever changes..

To me, the man's family should have looked at whoever booed and simply told them to never forget about why they have the freedom to boo in the first place.

Agreed and, as a frequent flyer, I've never seen anyone object to a request by a flight attendant PA to let a military family, personnel or even any other request. Most Americans are kind....even if some are a bit bitchy.

Agreed. This is more about one asshole being inflated into broadbrushing others than it is a trend.
