gowdy Won't Be trump's Lawyer For Impeachment

Bummer for trump. His first choice to defend him in the impeachment won't be representing him because of the law.

He will have to find another lawyer.

Trump’s attempt to hire Trey Gowdy for legal team unravels over lobbying rules

I'm still dumbfounded that Rump's choice for literally everything is based on "hey I've seen this guy on TV".

Deep.

But I guess it stands to reason that an orange clown who uses TV to con other people is equally conned himself by the same medium. Gullible's Travels.

1. What impeachment?
2. Exactly how does a lawyer equate to a lobbyist?
3. What are you afraid of, another 4 years? Well you're about to get just exactly that. Then another 8 of another republican all with a republican Congress and a conservarive court that can read, understand and act on the law, our constitution.

Lobbying in the United States describes paid activity in which special interests hire well-connected professional advocates, often lawyers, to argue for specific legislation in decision-making bodies such as the United States Congress. It is a highly controversial phenomenon, often seen in a negative light by journalists and the American public,[1] with some critics describing it as a legal form of bribery or extortion.[2][3] While lobbying is subject to extensive and often complex rules which, if not followed, can lead to penalties including jail, the activity of lobbying has been interpreted by court rulings as constitutionally protected free speech and a way to petition the government for the redress of grievances, two of the freedoms protected by the First Amendment of the Constitution. Since the 1970s, lobbying activity has grown immensely in the United States in terms of the numbers of lobbyists and the size of lobbying budgets, and has become the focus of much criticism of American governance.

But Gowdy said this:

I agree with you.

I wish the DNC and the partisans were serious about this and would do this inquiry in the public, the same as the GOP have done all of their investigations.

Why are they doing these investigations in secret? What exactly are they trying to hide from public view?

Is it any wonder that the administration is not complying if they have no right to due process?

Why can’t Dems treat Trump as fairly as Republicans did Bill Clinton?

What is with these idiotic choices by Trump? What moron is advising him to hire Gowdy? Clearly Trump has only one litmus test: loyalty.

Naw. . I disagree.

Trump's thinking is. . . showmanship. He wants someone the public is familiar with and will make good ratings.

If he's hired as a defence lawyer he is not a lobbyist, shitforbrains. However, Gowdy's expertise and backgroud is as a prosecutor not a defence lawyer so he'd make a rotten defence lawer even in the unlikey event that Trump needs one. And an undefeated procecutor unless I miss my guess.
It could be that Trump will avail himself of Gowdy's expertise in the role of federal procecutor when your clown car starts coming to trial. I doubt he could resist the temptation.

Yeah that's the point, they flip and flop, in-n-out, and the entire charade is clownish spectacle and illusion, enjoy The Reality America Show. The partisanshitheads must be tossed something to screech at each other over such that the societal wealth extraction, concentration and redistribution can continue underneath the chaos and noise unabated. Give the masses a show to snarl over, they're never any the wiser.

There is no impeachment.

There won't be any impeachment.

President Trump has nothing to defend himself against.

The democrats are the party of trash.

Now let's concentrate where the REAL corruption is, and that's here...
