Guesses on what rifle was used at the parade shooting

How so? Darrel Brooks killed 5 people and injured 50 when he ran them over with an SUV in Waukesha.

Motor vehicles make it more "convenient" to kill someone as well, but I don't see you clamoring to pass more motor vehicle laws. It's also a fact that there are far more irresponsible motor vehicle owners than there are legal gun owners.
45,000 killed by people with guns. Still not the guns fault.
The guns just made the killings so much more convenient and less personal.

The majority of those deaths are suicides….the majority of the victims of gun murder are criminals..

Meanwhile, Americans use their legal guns 1.1 million times a year for self defense…..lives saved from rape, robbery, murder…and they even stop mass public shootings

One could hear about 20 shots fired in rapid succession which would rule out the bolt action and probably the next one unless somebody had a magazine of that capacity.

It was most likely a civilian variety of an assault rifle. It's not likely anybody could slaughter Americans in that number with anything else. Especially that kid if it turns out he's guilty.

And then the '47' tatoo on his face??
Actually, considering that he shot from a roof-top into a nearby crowd with a "high-power," semi-auto rifle, the fact that he was able to kill only seven persons is fortunate evidence of his lack of skill. A competent marksman would have wounded far fewer and killed many more.

In 1966 Charles Whitman shooting from the observation deck at the main building tower at the University of Texas over a 96 minute period killed 14 people and wounded 31 others. He did this using mainly a Remington model 700 bolt action rifle by todays standards that is a pretty simple rifle but it shows if you are shooting from an elevated position with good lines of sight you don't need anything fancy or high tech to do a lot of damage.

Probably a Kel-Tec SU-16 or Sub 2000. They're 5.56mm/.223 but not really AR-style rifles.

The powers that be are trying to figure out how they're gonna spin this, since it wasn't an AR-15.

Either the FBI's back round checking part of the agency is pathetically bad at doing back round checks or something very wrong and evil is happening....
A background check will not return a "stop" result on someone who can legally own a gun.
The shooter in question was not a prohibited person, and therefore could legally own a gun.

What? What do you mean by this --- could you expand on it?
That's not a hard concept to understand.

People who commit suicide are in pain, angry, and desperate. They sometimes lash out and take perceived enemies with them.

Not a few mass shooters turn the gun on themselves for just that reason
