The Socialist party (no longer the Democratic party) knows full well that the over 90 million law-abiding private citizens who own firearms aren't running amok, committing crimes with their firearms, otherwise, this nation would be quickly depleted of its populace. They are also aware that most of these infrequent mass shooting incidents are committed by leftist loons and the mentally-ill. There are over 18 million AR-15 style rifles out there and we aren't having 18 million of them being used in crimes.
