Why don't we try something new in 2020. Stop screaming at each other and try to understand the other side's issues and concerns. We are one great country, but we have allowed outside forces to divide us and make us not trust, and in some cases, hate anyone who differs with us on anything.

The Progressive element demands widespread unconstitutional change in America, which cannot be permitted.

At this point in time, compromise with the Progressives is simply capitulation. They have slipped 'way too far off the cracker.

My state has two moderate senators already, because we are deeply purple--almost half Independents and regionally split. It would be great if all politicians faced the same challenges ours do to please both sides.

If the posters here keep their feet on the ground and actually argue their position, that's political discussion. If they start with the Evil Nazi Communist Racist Baby Killer shit ("Child of Darkness" is a new one that particularly amused me), the whole thing fails. And the posters who find that sort of thing "fun" aren't worth bothering with.

People who call for a change in attitude from others should first demonstrate the change in themselves. I see absolutely no.evidence that the OP desires any such change in our discourse.

And those who respond by saying things like "the media and political elite won't let us cooperate because they want us to be at odds" are nothing but cheap talking nihilists.

Any coming together will be brought on by people who are willing to put in the work...and self evaluate. A steadfast devotion to the truth must be achieved. And if it is, we cannot be stopped by any bullshit cabal at the top.

We have a party that went from Democrat, to liberals, to progressives, now Socialists, and communism isn't too far down the road for them. Not only have they become the anti-white party, and willing to sell out our entire country, but look at what they did to our President for no reason other than hate and rejection.

So where is this middle ground you speak of? How can you have any middle ground with people like this? Last year they launched an impeachment war that will last for generations. There is no middle ground when it comes to hate.
