Has Bobby Jindal Gone Mad? - The Daily Beast

Let us ignore for the moment the more head-scratching beliefs that Jindal attributes to his political opponents (“the earth is flat,” “red meat should be rationed”). After all, huddle up with a handful of die-hard conservatives, and in no time at all you’ll be treated to much wilder, much weirder stereotypes and conspiracy theories about libs and Dems. But from Bobby Jindal? The guy who has publicly lectured fellow Republicans to stop being the “stupid party,” drop the “offensive and bizarre comments,” talk “like adults,” and “stop insulting the intelligence of the voters”? That Bobby Jindal? Sure, there are plenty of Republican pols who have been equally adamant about the GOP’s need to regroup and rebrand. But precious few of them have taken such juicy digs at their own team in public, delighting Democrats and the conflict-hungry political media alike.

Lowbrow article that's just character assassination because Jindal proposed eliminating the state income tax.

Meanwhile the head of the Democrat Party is in a swoon because Republicans want to make "illegal immigration a crime"

Yeah, eliminating the income tax and shifting the tax burden onto working people HAS made Piyush really unpopular.

But let's look at what happened here. After Romney lost, Piyush admonished the crazies in his party. Even though he had engaged in quite a lot of the crazy himself.

Now he's going full out bore crazy again.

It strikes me that Piyush doesn't have any philosophical grounding, he just says what he thinks will get him votes.

Just like calling yourself "Bobby" will make people forget your parents named you "Piyush".

Do you hate him because his parents immigrated or because of his skin color?

He's trying to make his state more business friendly because the states without an income tax are doing much better than NY, NJ and CA. I know you can't relate to that

Also, you're clearly a racist

I've been to Louisiana. It was a shithole long before Katrina hit it.

And how is pointing out the name Jindal's parents gave him "racist"?

...eliminating the income tax and shifting the tax burden onto working people

Please demonstrate how the tax burden has been "shifted onto working people" in Alaska, Florida, Nevada, S Dakota, Texas and Washington.

Or are you just talking out of your ass again?

As opposed to the envious seizure of what somebody else has to feed the greed of the state.

It's not envious. The wealthy get just as much out of the state as working class folks do.

It's why you never hear about the Somalian Billionaire. Because less government doesn't build wealth.

The wealthy want the trappings of state power, they just don't want to pay for it.

Sales taxes by nature are regressive. If most of your income goes to buying consumer goods and services, you are paying a greater share of the tax burden.

And why do you use examples like Alaska and Nevada, which have artificial factors like gambling and oil in the picture?

So you are not able to back up your claim that working people pay more of the tax burden in states with no income tax.

Color me shocked...

You really do just throw shit out there with no evidence, logic or reason. It's why you're considered a joke. Good luck with that.

They're 2 of 7 states with no income tax
