Franks and the Republicans were successful, but on Friday, House GOP leaders added the language anyway.

That, ladies and gentlemen, is what is known as "Post Hoc Ergo Propter Hoc".

One of the great logic fallacies of all time.

Totally wrong to suggest that Republicans entered the language for any reason other than they wanted to.
