To me government corruption is the actual measured negative effect on the American people. This mostly applies to the corporate influence on our government. Federal agencies like the FDA and EPA that should be unbiased are corrupted by corporations such as Monsanto for their own personal gain. Big Pharma makes big money off of basic human healthcare needs at the expense of the poor AND middle class. Beyond that, this corruption also extends to the immunity corporations receive in committing crimes. Prosecution of corporate crime is statistically low. THAT is what you call government corruption.
When the rightwing thinks of government corruption, they immediately turn to the constitution and how democratic leaders like Obama interpret it in their policies. To me, whether or not politicians violate the constitution is beside the point. The true injustice to me is any corruption that negatively affects the greater good of the country. You would have to be a moron to think that ANY violation of the constitution is inherently bad or evil. All that matters is the effect it has on the American people.
Corporations like Monsanto, dangerous market deregulation, and court decisions like Citizens United are examples of REAL government corruption. You would have to be an idiot to think otherwise.
