Rather libertarian, Jefferson was, I would say. Not only did he reduce the size of the Executive branch after the Federalists had expanded it, but he even reduced the size of the military, and the Americans were still able to defeat Muslim predation in the Barbary Wars under his leadership.LOL you know whats funny is you ignorantly think Jefferson made a more intrusive government because he grew the country.... No he didnt. But some of his long held ideals of isolationism was proved wrong. He adapted. Where as regressives like you cant adapt. You would have to first realize your are wrong.Yes he was. he exponentially grew the size of government....Once more for you young ... There was no magical switch. Conservatism has ALWAYS been pro individual and liberty and regessivism has ALWAYS been pro big government and slavery.Nope. That was what we today call "conservatism" where the individual took precedence over the State.
Conservatives today were the Jeffersonian Liberals of the late 18th century.
Jefferson was a big government kinda guy in that day.
You comment about liberals being FOR slavery is straight INSANE.
That's right. Now you go ahead and tell me this country would be better off without founding progressives like Jefferson.
I agree; Libertarians are not strict isolationists.
