How is Jesus the Messiah?

Seems to me that Indeependent is downplaying the Jewish prophecy of a king who will rule forever.

He wants to pretend it doesn't exist.

Like it isn't a big deal. Oy Vey!

Maybe if he pointed to the prophecies he believed were valid about the great Jewish king who would rule forever we could better understand his position.

Here's where I have gotten to on trying to identify where the Bible mentions the Jewish Messiah.

The Messiah would be born in Bethlehem.
The Messiah would be born of a virgin.
The Messiah would come from the line of Abraham.
The Messiah would be a descendant of Isaac.
The Messiah would be a descendant of Jacob.
The Messiah would come from the tribe of Judah.
The Messiah would be heir to King David's throne.
The Messiah's throne will be anointed and eternal.
The Messiah would be called Immanuel.
A messenger would prepare the way for Messiah.
The Messiah would be rejected by his own people.
The Messiah would be a prophet.
The Messiah would be preceded by Elijah.
The Messiah would be called a Nazarene.
The Messiah would be a great light and illuminate.
The Messiah would speak in parables.
The Messiah would be sent to heal the brokenhearted.
The Messiah would be a priest after the order of Melchizedek.
The Messiah would be called King.
The Messiah would be praised by little children.
The Messiah would be betrayed.
The Messiah would be falsely accused.
The Messiah would be silent before his accusers.
The Messiah would be spat upon and struck.
The Messiah would be hated without cause.
The Messiah would be crucified with criminals.
The Messiah would be given vinegar to drink.
The Messiah would be mocked and ridiculed.
The Messiah's hands and feet would be pierced.

Maybe Indepeendent can offer up his list since he knows so much about it.

And I believe that honest men can discuss honest differences of opinion without acting like jerks.
BUT that includes telling people their own prophecy is bullshit because of my hackery, right?
Said the atheist.
Im not an atheist. I dont doubt the existence of a supreme being or a "god" as some say.
I do, however, doubt the abrahamic religions and see them as inconsistent. Also, i would never give knee to a supreme being that wanted complete subordination or be punished, kills infants for sins of the father and creates failure knowing it will be failure for shits and giggles.
Sadistic if you ask me.
Just something else you lied about in this thread.... smh
I don't really give a fuck what either of you are at this point.

Actions speak louder than words.
You failed to turn your cheek.

Zechariah 12:10
10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication; and they shall look unto Me because they have thrust him through; and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his first-born.

But I believe I have answered TNs question so my job on this thread is done.
When you want to start studying Scripture from Genesis 1:1, let me know.
