Final glaciers of North American Ice Age, 10k years ago in Indiana, 20k in Chicago, 14k in Lake Michigan, are likely pieces of glacier scratching rock while the overall ice sheet had been shrinking for 1-5 million years already.
It is entirely possible that wood grew AFTER North American Ice Age retreated.
The 30k-50 million years ago period will require another taxpayer funded "study" to fudge data to refute that...
