How Rapidly are State and Local Taxes going up and where?

This is simply a question. The reason for the question is that I have gotten divergent answers from posters I trust to the same question. I am particularly interested in the following states CA, IL, MA, NJ and NY since they have the most screwed up finances.

I am in Il and there has been no tax increase of any kind where I live with the exception of a property tax hike to pay for schools in the local area
