So Trump used riot police and tear gas to clear peaceful protesters from a church way, just so he can go take a P.R. photo. Disgusting.
The U.S.A is really no different than China. Trump and Conservatives always want to make their country more like China. China is passing a law that makes insulting the national anthem illegal. Which is what Trump wanted to do when the football players were taking a knee in protest during the US anthem. And now Trump want to send in the military to be a tough guy against people exercising their democratic right to protest. How is that different than Hong Kong?

He didn't come to church to pray, he didn't come to church to offer condolences to those who are grieving, he didn't come to commit to healing our nation – all the things we would expect and long for from the highest leader in the land.

Some people are using the protests as an opportunity to commit larceny or robbery. The FBI doesn't see any organization by either Antifa groups or fascists. There's nothing approaching an "insurrection."

My question is who was flying those helicopters to scare peaceful protestors who were not breaking curfew … for his now shamed photo op.

I think there is a concerted effort to make people believe there is an insurrection and ratchet up violence on both sides. That is worrisome.

The Secret Service would not let him go into an unstable group of people without protection and protective measures being implemented. Meaning, the crowd had to be dispersed. Teargas was the most non-lethal measure they could have taken.

Absolutely agree - no president could be allowed to go into that. However, since when is teargas a FIRST resort against American Citizens exercising their rights peacefully? See that I don't agree with, and yes - it's non lethal, but from what I've heard, very painful.
