If Conservatives had accomplishments, they wouldn't be so jealous of Liberals

Notice right wingers don't even try to present any accomplishments? In fact, they try desperately to justify why there shouldn't be any accomplishments. With out government accomplishments, we wouldn't have the Interstate highway system. We wouldn't have NASA. We wouldn't have our military. There would be no vaccines against polio, the flu and other disease. There wouldn't be anyone helping disaster victims.
You can always tell the more mindless liberal fanatics. They are the ones totally stuck on "If central government doesn't do it, no one will do it", with no evidence to back up their bizarre beliefs.

You said: "If central government doesn't do it, no one will do it", with no evidence to back up their bizarre beliefs.

So you are saying we would have a military without the Government?
(yawn)

See the fourth paragraph of the post I quoted....
We would have NASA without government?
Without government vaccines would just suddenly appear?
Help for disaster victims would appear on it's own?
See how shocked liberal fanatics are when someone suggests to them that Americans can accomplish something without government? Even when they have been doing exactly that for years before government ever intruded, usurped power, and crowded them out of it? :rolleyes-41:
That doesn't even make sense. NASA without government? Polio vaccine without government? Helping disaster victims without government? What is wrong with you? Handing your neighbor that extra can of cream corn is hardly the same of airlifting them out of a flood.

Polio Vaccine was not a government program... Jonas Salk developed that vaccine through a little group OKA: The March of Dimes... which is a private, non-profit organization, which was created to fight Polio.

Nasa was definitely a government program, which was crippled by other government programs which seek to provide for social justice... the host of 'government programs' chiefly responsible for crippling NASA is a little group of Government programs known as: "The Great Society".

But don't feel too bad for NASA... as those programs have crippled tens of millions...

Try to hold on lil' fella... but the truth is Socialism KILLS progress.

Wow, it's so easy for you, isn't it? One guy develops a vaccine and poof, problem gone. It's over.

Only it's not. Only an ignorant, dare I use the "T" word? OK. "Tard" could believe such nonsense.

There are many different strains of polio. Salk is credited with developing the first. But even that one needed to be tested for years with many thousands of volunteers. And after years of research and development and hundreds of thousands of tests, as each strain was "solved" and released, it still had to be distributed to millions of people. That means people had to be trained, the vaccine had to be manufactured and so on.

I don't even pretend to be on expert on this stuff, but I knew that. And you should be heartily bitch slapped for being so damn ignorant.

Listen to Republicans and we would be the shithole of the world. Even worse than Red States.
parts of S.California are just about 3rd world.......go down to El Centro and tell me if your in the US or Mexico plenty of other smaller towns like Bell are going the same way.....you going to blame that on Republicans?.....well wait you would blame a hang nail on them so maybe i should not ask you that....
Parts of California as opposed to most of some Red States?
yea parts dean....lots of the Urban areas in S.California are just as backward as those urban areas in those nasty red states....many of the small cities around the Salton Sea are the kinds of people you and your little compadre guno love to be around....."trailer park" people.....

How typical of the usual liberal fanatics, to think that government must show "accomplishments".

Government is only there to protect people's rights. Basically, to protect people from being messed with unjustly by other people.

When government does its job right, nobody notices, because there is nothing much to see. You can live your life without unjust interference from others, is all. Government will seem like a very small part of your life, because it mostly stays out of your way (as long as you don't violate your neighbors' rights) and you live your life normally.

If another country attacks, then government must get much bigger, taking a large part of the GDP, to fight them off and defeat them. Then its "accomplishments" become noticeable. When the enemy is defeated, then govt must shrink back down, relinquish its power, and fade into the background (mostly) again. At least, a good government will.

Liberals see government differently, of course. Government must become a major part of everyone's lives (whether they like it or not), doling out money for health care, nice workplaces, retirement funds, and even regulating what light bulbs you can buy and how much water your toilet uses. And a host of other things.

To liberals, government must show more and more "accomplishments" all the time. To conservatives, that's what it must NOT do, except in dire emergencies it is empowered to deal with.

So it's not surprising that the hate-filled liberals on this board, try to condemn conservatives for not "showing enough accomplishments".

Liberals think that's a condemnation. But in fact, it's a compliment. The less government is seen, the better it is. Except in grave emergencies, of course (wars etc.) that it is supposed to deal with. But in general, a government that shows few "accomplishments" (or none in peacetime) is likely doing its job right.

Thread fail. Conservativism is not fear of change, that toddler talk. Nor does it mean 'no change'. It means the reluctance to change unless you need to. And many have led the way, abolishionists were largely Christian, back in the day. Conservativism is a look before you leap philosophy. Liberals change anything they can, a leap before you look philosophy.
If I may be so bold, conservatism is resistance to change in our form of government. Change otherwise is welcome and has been because of our conservative government.

We live in an age of science and of abounding accumulation of material things. These did not create our Declaration. Our Declaration created them.

Watching those being honored at the Kennedy Center tonight is amazing. Such wonderful talent. Conservatives cry that their "contributions" are over looked. I'm still asking the question, "Which contribution is that". If you guys can't name one, why should I even try?

The March of Dimes was started in 1938 by Democratic President Roosevelt, who was diagnosed with polio in 1921. Anyone who knows history knows that very few people were helped by government during that time. It's one of the reasons people died so young. Something today's Republicans want to see again. Go ahead. Admit it.

Charity Navigator Non-Profit CEO Pay and Government Funding

Charity Navigator Rating - March of Dimes

But these days, charity gets much of it's funding from the Government. Even the March of Dimes. The reason that charity was so originally successful was because so many Americans were getting the disease. Anyone having children could be at a high risk. So of course people contributed. People also bought government bonds to support the war against the Nazi's in Europe. That was their contribution to the war effort. Republicans passed on the cost of the Iraq war to our children.

One of the problems with private fundraising organizations is the lack of transparency. I seem to remember a scandal about the March of Dimes CEO making 25 to 35% more than what's average for a large charity. Way over $500,000.00 a year. I guess I could go look it up. Maybe later. I get tired of usually being the ONLY one to go look stuff up.

We also know that a polio vaccine was being tested years before Salk on retarded and institutionalized children. It took government to put a stop to that. I wonder if Republicans think that's OK since it's happening to the born and not the unborn.

Hmm, anyway, when you look at the big picture, it was started by a Democratic President. They receive government funding. Many times, private organizations tend to screw over whoever their base is since there is no transparency. Think those awful TV preachers. And it was many scientists who actually gave us the vaccines. You know "Scientists". Those people Republicans don't trust that do no good and aren't worth anything.

So you admit one guy without government funding cured polio. Yet somehow need to twist the government into the accomplishment. He came up with the fucking cure, no government pampered scientist could do so. Maybe it's you that needs bitch slapped here.

Oh God, the tards are crawling out of the woodwork tonight. Is there really anyone stupid enough to believe something so moronic???? That a single person cured polio????

Here, this is a History of the Polio virus in the United States:

Polio mdash Timelines mdash History of Vaccines

I wonder if there is a vaccine against GOP idiocy. Oh there is. It's called "education".

Government force isn't charity. And government force provides minimal if any results. One would think you would have recognized that by now with all the government run options in shit hole countries world wide that have tried it but you seem too stupid to catch on.

You can't make one persons goal into more peoples goal by giving them government funding. It doesn't work that way.
