How about this, if RBG is done trump has two options:
1. Amy Coney Barrett, Notre Dame professor
2. Merrick Garland, AND immigration reform, including:
1. No catch & release
2. No diversity lottery
3. No asylum claims unless pre-approved
4. No chain migration
5. Only merit based immigration for who the US needs
6. No birthright citizenship, i.e. no cottage industry for anchor babies
7. DACA kids get green cards but NOT citizenship
8. $25b for the wall and border security,

What do you think Nancy and Chuck would do? Barrett or Garland and border security?

To hell with Chuck and Nancy. There's about $10.5 billion in DoD's military construction budget. Declare a national emergency and use some of that money to build the border fence without giving Chuck and Nancy anything.

Democrats are justifiably irate about the seat. So much so that they will not cooperate with Republicans on anything. The wall is just a start. Republicans can laugh it off......but it will not be long till Dems are in charge

Here's why that's never going to work. Neither Nancy or Chuck are in any way trustworthy enough to do a deal with. If Trump gave them Garland does anyone here think that either Democratic leader would keep their end of the deal?

The wall would be a short term victory for Republicans. But allowing and expansion of Presidential powers will have a lasting effect

Democrats will have the same power to declare emergencies to bypass Congress
