The Economist/YouGov poll, conducted Aug. 11-13, found 54 percent of voters said the most important issues to them were “inflation/prices,” “jobs and the economy,” “immigration” and “taxes and government spending.”

Translation: The most important issues to voters are:

1. Inflation/prices

2. Jobs and the economy

3. Immigration (AKA illegals swarming across our Southern Border)

4. taxes and government spending (AKA the national debt)

On pretty much all of these issues voters trust Republicans more than Democrats

So, this is what Republicans need to talk about and they need to talk about the future, not the past. Voters don't care about anything Tim Walz so we need to just shut up about him. Voters also don't care if Kamala Harris is black or Asian so we need to shut up about that too. And, voters don't really care if Kamala Harris was technically the border czar or not. They also don't care if she slept her way to the top.

We need to hammer her on her administrations policies which caused high prices which are still here today. We need to hammer her on the fact that while they ignored Americans' financial suffering and bragged about the economy, Americans are STILL suffering and now the economy and job growth are slowing, which is what they had been bragging about. We need to hammer her on leftist policies which brought us high prices, not greedy companies price gauging. And, we need to hammer her on if inflation is under control as they say, then how can there be price gauging by greedy companies giving us high prices? Are prices and inflation under control or aren't they? They can't have it both ways!

We need to hammer her on immigration, which includes her tough future policies which would allow in 2500 per day and the policies which have let in so many over the last 3 1/2 years and if they could reign in illegal immigration now then why didn't they do it a long time ago?

We need to talk about a plan to reduce at least the deficit anyway. Americans care about the out of control national debt and neither candidate is offering even lip service about stopping the madness. And we need to talk about making the 2017 tax cuts permanent, at least for small businesses and ordinary Americans.

To summarize, if Republicans want to win we have to quit with the nonsense and talk about the real issues Americans want to talk about and vote on.

Currently they are winning. Rasmussen has them ahead. And they are one of the top 5 most accurate pollsters.

So....
Harris has yet to come out with a platform....keeping it secret until the last moment (the claims are that at least).

And so we shall see....Trump had the interview on X and got to quite clearly review his platform despite Democrats hardest wishes and degradation.

Yep, the rare fair poll that updates its results constantly not a week at a time.

Right now she doesn't have to talk about the issues because Republicans are spending all of their time talking about Tim Walz and whether Harris is black or Asian. If Republicans start talking about the issues then she will have to start talking about the issues.

I doubt the voters trust either party. They’ve seen what 4 years of the blob id...the nation debt increased by $8T.

LOL...nope.

Oh but you can’t. Its short attention span theater with the WWE crowd.
Voters also don't care if Kamala Harris is black or Asian so we need to shut up about that too.
Sure they do. And so do you guys on this board. Obama becoming president caused you guys to short circuit. If a black woman gets in the oval, I suspect a Jonestown style event. In fact, that is what your blob keeps on saying--it will be the end of the nation.
And, voters don't really care if Kamala Harris was technically the border czar or not. They also don't care if she slept her way to the top.
Yeah, try to get the pythons in your party to not strike about that. Its what you live for....criticizing women and minorities.

Hard sell when corporate profits are at record levels.
And, we need to hammer her on if inflation is under control as they say, then how can there be price gauging by greedy companies giving us high prices? Are prices and inflation under control or aren't they? They can't have it both ways!
Inflation has come down consistently. Again, facts are not your friends. So you may as well stick to dancing around the racial innuendo and calling her names. Its what you do best--because IT IS THE ONLY THING YOU DO.
We need to hammer her on immigration, which includes her tough future policies which would allow in 2500 per day and the policies which have let in so many over the last 3 1/2 years and if they could reign in illegal immigration now then why didn't they do it a long time ago?
It was a sane plan that was killed by Trump.

Yeah, your blob ran up $8T in debt after saying he would eliminate it.

My question to you is this. Why do YOU believe him on anything he says? No wall, no replacement for Obamacare, he ended zero wars, the Deficit exploded, and oh yeah, he’s still saying the election was stolen from him.

I seriously doubt that Harris's lack of a platform is the Republican's fault.

Sure the Republicans are slinging a ton of mud at her and Walz....however the Democrats have not done anything except sling mud.

The Republicans have a 20 item list for their platform. Very publicly available and viewable and Trump explained these things clearly on X the other day. (One BILLION listeners).

Every day Vance and Trump are speaking, posing, and dropping more policies.
Yesterday Vance announced a doubling of the child tax credit.

No, Trump needs to come up with some more playground insults, keep hammering Harris on not being black, and talk about how large his crowds are. That's the ticket.

She only wins if we truly have become tribal.
I would consider getting really regional if Progs win. And Republican areas abutting Prog areas, they need to go real conservative. Know the boundaries and do what they have for their quality of life.

TRUMP does talk a lot about Policy. What people like Nikki Haley don't understand is that ignoring the other stuff is exactly why people like Romney and McCain lost in 2012/2008. As much as it's hard to believe a freaking whole lot of people vote based on feelings knowing little about policy. And another large percentage don't understand policy beyond the headlines.

There's a lot of truth to that but I think Trump and others are going off into the weeds too much. Many years ago I watched Bill O'Reilly on Fox News and he had a show where he talked to Whoopi Goldberg. O'Reilly wanted to talk about issues and presented facts and figures to back up how he felt on those issues. Whoopi stopped O'Reilly in his tracks and said she doesn't care about facts and figures, all she cares about is what is in her heart and that's all she uses to decide how she feels on the issues. O'Reilly was stunned into silence as he wanted to debate with facts and figures and Whoopi would have none of that.

LOL "Kamabalalal not Black" not resonating with the voters, eh? Thoughts & Prayers. :auiqs.jpg:

Republicans lose on the issues. Biden has done a good job. But if all you do is read right wing garbage you get a story that isn't really hapenninig.
