If this is true, we are in trouble...

If I were to pay for everything AROUND HERE, it would be about $5,000 a year for healthcare, about $15,000 a year for a studio apartment, $1,500 a year on food.

That's close to $22,000 just on insurance you're SUPPOSED to have + Rent.

Now forget about food, ultilities, phone bills, cable bills.

You might very well spend $35,000 a year on everything, when all is said, & done.

Yet, Republicans ALSO WANT you to save up for RETIREMENT.

I think Republicans are either INSANE, or RETARDED.

So now I'm hearing that the entire nation has to change for the benefit of one retard who chooses to live in one of the most expensive states in the Union.

Most of the Nation is SUB-PAR, I've had your food, and it sucks, I've seen your parks, and architecture, and it sucks.

You are a bunch of thrifty Scots, and some thirfty Anglos, and Germans thrown in.

You love CHEAP Junk, OMG I saved me 1 dollar on a Burger at McDonald's, OMG I saved me 3 dollars on Pants at WalMart, OMG I saved me 2 dollars on Pizza from PapaJohns, OMG I saved me 50 cents on a Chicken Sandwich at Chick-A-Fila.

That's a big reason why everything you have kind of sucks.

Your education systems are supposed to be terrible.

I don't like ANYTHING about "Fly-Over country"
Well don't come here then.Stay in New York. LOL

We don't need any dang Fascist here.

Well, Capitalism is being tried in America with terrible results, Communism has been tried in Russia with terrible results.

So, obviously something in between is the anwser, no?

You know something similar to Fascism, no?

These statistics are claimed to be true:
1. 50% of American wage earners earn less than $30k.
2. 63% of Americans can’t afford a $1,000 emergency.
3. 80% of American workers live pay check to pay check.
4. Since 1973 American productivity has increased by 77%, yet hourly pay has grown by 12%. If the minimum wage was tracked to productivity, it would be over $20 an hour today.
5. 41% of American workers earn less than $12 per hour, with most without employer provided HC.
6. Since 2008 the federal government and the Fed created $26 trillion out of nothing. Was any of this enormous sum spent on infrastructure, public education, universal HC, bail out 5.1 million people who lost their homes?

Not a pretty picture for the poor and middle class. Hopefully things are improving or we are headed for big trouble.

Trump is doing his best to fix this..... the more democrats we vote out of office the better off these people will be......

That is why November is so important....democrats thrive on poverty, racism, hate and violence......
How so? What have republicans done to fix this?
From where I'm sitting personally, one thousand dollars means very little. It's just something that happens.

Try facing the facts of what happens to hundreds of thousands of working people.

The economy is now going great, unemployment is down, job opportunites are up, and even for Black and Hispanics in America unemployment is down at historic levels.....

You don't know what you are talking about.

You don't know what you are talking about.

Wages are not rising very much either. Housing costs are rising rapidly.

Once again I will tell you I am not a republican.

If you can't afford rent then get a fucking roommate.
If you can't pay your bills get a second job

Stop whining

So, we should live like Illegal Immigrants, 3 beds to a room.

The Republican motto, it's Patriotic for Americans to settle for less.

F*cking ridiculous.

You live as well as you can afford to live.

Just because you are a failure and can't support yourself doesn't mean I have to support you

I'm lucky that I come from a family worth 1.8 million.

But, I do worry about THIS COUNTRY.

Between the loss of wages, it's much, much harder to make it.

Somehow people are supposed to have Families, Pay for health insurance, and Save for retirement.

Pure frigging fantasy.

Most people can't do that, and will end up living like Illegal Immigrants with 3 guys sharing 3 different beds per room.

Fantasy to you maybe but people do it every day.

Stop whining

Uh, about 50% of Americans make more than $30,000, and about 50% make less than $30,000.

Average Income in America: What salary in the United States puts you in the top 50%, top 10%, and top 1%?

As I pointed out earlier, around here about $22,000 a year is spent on insurance + rent, that doesn't include food budgets, or ultilties like you know electricity, or phone.

The only reason people are able to make it better than a "Flop House" is because of programs put into place by Democrats.

If it were not for these programs, probably 50% of Americans would be living like illegals, which is like 3 people & 3 beds per room, which is basically a "Flop-House"

median definition - Google Search

How Much Is the Average Salary for US Workers?

The median income in 2017 was 44, 500 not 30,000

average-salary-information-for-us-workers-2060808-v4-5b733d8446e0fb00501ae2f6.png

We already have laws against hiring illegals and monopolies. The rest are not controlled by the federal government in a free country.

Why should "Outsourcing" be tolerated by Americans?

The only thing you can give is "Freedom"

Everything else says it should NOT be tolerated.

It's costing us jobs.

It's costing us wages.

It's costing us tax base.

It's costing us product quality.

It's costing us pride.

Quite frankly I don't value freedom, freedom for who? Freedom for pedophiles? Freedom for those who pee down alleys? Freedom for drug dealers? Freedom for abortions? Freedom for hiring illegals? Freedom for transsexuals? freedom for outsourcing?

Thanks, but no thanks, I think I'll chose results, I care how good things become, not about freedom.

Any freedom that creates a worse society, is no friend of mine.

Then you may be in the wrong country.

How valuable is freedom? Valuable enough to have wars over, to risk life on a makeshift raft or being delivered in a crate in front of a trailer in 90 degree heat. Valuable enough to leave your original country, family and friends to start a new life in liberty. Valuable enough to wait years or decades to be part of freedom.

There are people in countries that would sacrifice their first born for a fraction of the freedom you and I are privileged to have. It’s just that we take it for granted. And while freedom has its negatives, it’s something most would never sacrifice for anything.

America was never a free Country for ALL.

In the first US election only 6% of the country were able to vote.

That's because ONLY White property owning men could vote.

There were also a ton of state regulations upon Corporations, from the Founding Fathers right up into nearly the 20th Century.

Here, check out the regulations Wisconsin had, similar to many states in 1873.

RACHEL #488: FIXING CORPORATIONS--PART 1: LEGACY OF THE FOUNDING PARENTS

** corporations were required to have a clear purpose, to be fulfilled but not exceeded. [10]

** corporations' licenses to do business were revocable by the state legislature if they exceeded or did not fulfill their chartered purpose(s). [11]

** the state legislature could revoke a corporation's charter for a particular reason, or for no reason at all. [12]

** the act of incorporation did not relieve corporate management or stockholders/owners of responsibility or liability for corporate acts. [13]

** as a matter of course, corporation officers, directors, or agents could be held criminally liable for violating the law. [14]

** state (not federal) courts heard cases where corporations or their agents were accused of breaking the law or harming the public. [15]

** directors of the corporation were required to come from among stockholders. [16]

** corporations had to have their headquarters and meetings in the state where their principal place of business was located. [17]

** corporation charters were granted for a specific period of time, like 20 or 30 years (instead of being granted "in perpetuity," as is now the practice.) [18]

** corporations were prohibited from owning stock in other corporations in order to prevent them from extending their power inappropriately. [19]

** corporations' real estate holdings were limited to what was necessary to carry out their specific purpose(s). [20]

** corporations were prohibited from making any political contributions, direct or indirect. [21]

** corporations were prohibited from making charitable or civic donations outside of their specific purposes. [22]

** state legislatures set the rates that corporations could charge for their products or services. [23]

** all corporation records and documents were open to the legislature or the state attorney general. [24]

ALL OF THESE PROVISIONS WERE ONCE LAW IN THE STATE OF WISCONSIN And similar ones in most other states
So getting rid of all that shit has made us more free.

You have no right to tell anyone how to live

More free?
Yeah we got rid of regulations in the 1920's ended up with "The Great Depression" re-started regulations with FDR & Truman.'

Then starting mostly post WW2 to get rid of Regulations under Eisenhower.

Within 15 - 20 years after Eisenhower we see the "PEAK Real wages" and ever since we've seen wages which don't go as far as inflation.

So, I fail to see how we're doing any better.

Sure, there's more "Freedom for Corporations" but if they're not doing the right thing, and messing with America, why does that become a "Good Thing", exactly?

FDR made the depression worse and pushed shit that was found to be unconstitutional.

We don't need the fucking government controlling everything in our lives like you want them too.

And you need to understand that state and federal governments are 2 completely different animals so don't talk about one state and try to apply it to the entire country

So you lie yet again.

All a group insurance provider ever does is increase the premium they don't tell their customers who to hire and fire

If you racked up all these medical costs as you say while you were in their employ there was no preexisting condition. Didn't you say this was an injury before? Injuries are not preexisting conditions

And FYI before Obammy care we were never asked about preexisiting conditions on our group health insurance. And no one was ever kicked off for racking up medical costs

I didn't say my situation was a pre-existing condition. They tried to claim it was, though, by saying that my knee was bad because of Arthritis and not the nasty fall I took going into work one morning.

But if you don't think it was a coincidence the first round of layoffs got the people with medical issues, then I have some nice swampland in Florida to sell you

/----/ This is what happens when Gubmint interferes with healthcare. I'm old enough to remember when healthcare was affordable and readily available. And if you couldn't afford to pay upfront or had no insurance, you simply made a payment plan to pay your bill. Since our PC physician is booked solid for two months we rely on an Immediate Care associated by a hospital and staffed with their ER physicians.

Okay, those good old days you pine for, most people didn't live long enough to collect social security.. that was the thing.

Or move out of frigging New York. What kind of dumbass looks that cost of living and doesn't pick up and head for the state border immediately?

I don't care for "Southern & Mid-Western" America.

I'm glad I can go get a REAL PIZZA, from a ma & pa Italian, and not from Papa John who's probably not even Italian, and just cares about "Muh Moneyz"

I'm glad I can go get REAL Pierogies, if you even have those in most of the country? I'm doubtful you do.

I'm glad I can get a real Philly Cheese steak, rather than Hur, hur I'm going to SONICS for a Philly Cheese Steak.

I'm glad I can get to a real Bar for Buffalo Wings, rather than Hur, hur, I'm going to Buffalo Wild Wings.

I actually find your CHEAP Knock offs, in other portions of the country, as irritating, and even INSULTING.

Especially your crap like Olive Garden, or Papa Johns, this GARBAGE is Insulting to REAL Italians.

Europe has REAL CULTURES, the USA is like a Crapitalist immitation, I don't care for this garbage much.

I like New York which has a lot more "REAL European culture" , but I won't settle for other parts of America, which is SETTLING FOR LESS the Capitalist USA way.

And yet you won't leave

Leave the country and go be happy anywhere else if a miserable shit like you can be happy that is

Not so much.

Take New York, the prices go from everything from Mid-town Manhattan, which is like a 1 bedroom apartment for like 1 million give, or take, to Buffalo where you can buy 3 bedroom houses for about 100 thousand give, or take.

Yet, actually NYC probably has lower total tax rates. (Upstate New York has huge tax rates percentage wise, yet I heard people were buying in Buffalo inner-city houses for like 50 grand, and they weren' run down, either.

The reason for this is obviously demand, Buffalo just doesn't have the job opportunities, or life experience opportunities as does Manhattan.

Yes, it is a problem, and I DON'T live in NYC, or Buffalo, for that matter.

Actually Buffalo's hardly different than your Ohio, and obviously Buffalo has much more in common with Ohio than Manhattan, in well just about every category.

NYC is a shit hole

More bullshit

Want to change your story again.

If the Doctor did not diagnose you with arthritis the insurance company will not tell you you have arthritis and the insurance co will not tell any employer who to fire.

I thought you said (perhaps in another thread) that you live in NYC. I know the price of cigarettes alone are over twice as much as here in Ohio thanks to taxation.

I also watch HGTV when nothing else is on, but I am a fan of Property Brothers which I don't miss. When I see the price of homes in just about all these liberal Mecca's, I'm taken aback by how much housing is and how little you get for the money.

All your points have validity , but all won't be solved by any given politician OR election

Nothing in our lives will change this November , because this is a course we've been on for a generation.

The rich get richer, the poor get poorer in America , that's FACT

I've seen this video before.

The only problem with it?

It has so few folks at the very top.

The funny thing is, we KNOW who they are. Why doesn't the video just NAME THEM? Why doesn't it just name which companies and government agencies they control?

Why doesn't it point out the fascist nature, and the corruption?

These folks are controlling the game, why not call this shit out for what it is, and name the criminals?

I can't, folks on the left and the right CONTINUE, EVERY SINGLE DAY, to quote from WaPo, and this Christmas, everyone of you idiots will still be using and watching Amazon.

WHY??!!!

Bravo Mr Beale

Either you are for America, or you're not.

Capitalism has become unpatriotic, point blank.

Go be Capitalism scum elsewhere.
Go f*ck up someone elses country.

I simply refuse Capitalism before the people & selling out my generations future.
Yes Socialism and communism are much better

Communism is terrible too, and while Communism might lead to slightly worse economic results than our Capitalism, the Communists never had a ton of jobs going to foreigners who disrespect them like Illegals from Mexico, or peoples in China getting "Our Capitalist Jobs".

As for "Social Democracy" like what they have in Sweden, they actually pay less for healthcare, and for colleges because it is an extension of the government who helps people pay for it.

So, I don't know how Social Democracy is inferior, perhaps inferior for the rich, and superior for everybody else, that sounds about right.
So move your whining ass to Sweden

Sweden's actually VERY choosy about who they let immigrate, as I understand it.

And if you were Sweden, would YOU judge this jerk as a valuable acquisition?

Is that why Sweden has more Muslims percentage wise than the USA, because they're "So choosy" about "Immigrants". Oh yeah, really?

No, it's because of their population compared to ours. We have half the percentage of Muslims they do but well more than twice as many per capita. They don't even have 10 million people in Sweden. We have over 7 million people just in NYC.

Leftists get all pissy when you point out the differences between our country and Sweden, particularly the difference in population. They understand so little about what they spout that they really can't grasp why the numbers make a difference.

Maybe if Democrats didn’t tax people to death, the cost of living would be much lower and nobody would need those programs.

/——/ Not when a Republican is mayor. I’ve seen the best and the worst.
