Funneling money to the rich(?) or was it to a culture for the most part in which they try and uphold, and in which they also want to keep empowered because they see their culture as moral and decent for the most part as found within their culture or clique they keep empowered ? Yes there is derailments along the trails or along the way as within any culture trying to stay a float or empowered against those who hate them, where as sadly as with any culture (some conservatives or leftist) are found wearing sheeps clothing, where as they have become corrupt or the money corrupts them, but this does not account for them all as a group, but sadly the left it seems now, well they need to paint them all (conservatives) in this way but why ? Is it that they are doing this in order to justify defeating them all in one fail swoop ? And they do this because they want to empower their culture also in these same ways (changing of the gaurd so to speak), and they fear that the conservatives whom occupy in some cases the same spaces or in close with them, won't agree or like what they (the left) might want to flaunt as a culture around them, so defeating one side or the other somehow in this power struggle between the two just continues on and on it seems.. We have a system in place that is suppose to allow the two sides to work their differences out always peacefully, but it seems as the cultures drift farther and farther apart, we get more radicals rising up and stirring stuff up more and more these days.
