If What The Media Says About Comey's Memo Is True Then Comey Lied Under Oath To Congress

Comey testified earlier under oath that nobody had tried to pressure him to stop the investigation. Now the New York Times claims they have a memo that Comey wrote on February 12 2017, before he testified to Congress, that Trump did try to talk him into stopping the case.

So either he's lying in this secret memo....the media is lying about it, or he perjured himself in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee on May 3rd. Both can't be true. This was the hearing about Huma Abadin. After Comey mis-charactorized the number of emails Huma sent to her husband's laptop and the FBI had to issue a retraction, Comey was fired within hours.

The Senator that asked the question that contradicts the reason Democrats are calling for impeachment is Sen. Mazie Hirono of Hawaii. The media is getting reckless with their reporting and refuses to even do a cursory vetting of the facts before they publish them. She asked Comey if he knows of any time that someone has tried to stop an investigation. He said no. This fact will become better known in the future. Fox News just showed the clip of the question which Comey clearly stated never happening in his experience. This is in direct conflict with this magic memo that nobody has seen.

This is just one of many reasons why Trump will always have a strong argument to defend his position as president based on a free and fair election process. It also raises further questions about the credibility of Comey.

I have been as supportive of any of Comey as I could see he was in a tough situation dealing with such a hyper-partisan environment after a nasty, contention election. In the end, he is still human and was appointed by the Obama administration, and he is probably not happy with how he was relieved of his position. On top of this he didn't report the so-called obstruction, which again weakens his argument and even puts into question the authenticity of some of these memos.

He will have to answer questions about this going forward if this investigation grows.

The DOJ operates under Trump. The head of the DOJ works at the pleasure of the POTUS - they are in contact regularly and work together often.

Comey's testimony is fundamentally a game changer........ "in my experience" - meaning "in ALL my experiences" there has never been pressure to end an investigation.

Actually no. Trump has the right to fire anyone. Just firing Comey didn't stop the investigation, and it wasn't the reason for the firing. Comey was actually preventing the investigation from going anywhere. He was using it to keep his job. He also knew he would be fired at any moment. Trump kept him around because he wanted to give the man a chance to do the right thing. Instead the sneaky shit didn't. He was planted to be the excuse the Dems would use to push for an impeachment. (Bigmouth Maxine Waters gave this away months ago)He was literally a time bomb. If the Republicans allow this to go on, this will blow up in both their faces.

Well that would be 'funny'- since for Comey to be indicted or prosecuted- it would have to be proven that Trump tried to obstruct justice.

Most of them are too dumb to realize that Susan Rice committed a felony by unmasking General Flynn and whoever it is in the White House that are leaking classified information are also committing a felony!
