I doubt the negative points are coming from a difference of opinion, as much as posting things with no backup or relevancy to anything. Pretty hard to do, if you're not a troll, when you open a thread.

Don't apologize for WHAT you say....

WHAT you say is how you feel. That is cool.

You get negative points not for WHAT you say, but HOW you say it and HOW you BACK UP what you say.

There are many people who don't echo many of the member's views and opinions - and they don't have negative points.

All the members enjoy a lively conversation. No one wants everyone to agree with everybody else. That would be boring.

What the members do want is intelligent, proven, thoughtful commentary and opinions.

You do that and you will be fine.

You will find that you get neg rep for all sorts of reasons that have nothing to do with you postings. I would ignore the rep points and concentrate on what you are saying and listen to the posted responses. In this manner, you can evaluate how others think about your posts. Some may have good points or information that you were unaware of. It's a way to learn and evaluate your own beliefs.

Don't worry about rep points, they'll come in time once people learn what your online voice is. Just be yourself and enjoy the conversation. It will be one of the better conversations that you have, nobody can interrupt and you can spend as much time giving your opinion as you want.

Jump right in. So long as you don't break the rules and get banned it can only add to our conversation to have you around. Just don't jump too quickly into insult and injury, we barely know you. Those who give it on the board have earned their time, usually, you are just a pup!
