Inflation hits new 40-year high as gas, food rent costs surge. Another big rate hike appears likely

I paid $3.85 a gallon for gas in Joplin, Mo yesterday.
Your point ? Until we get back to becoming energy independent to at least an 85% range, then we will suffer the consequences of relying on forces outside of our sphere of influence as Biden is off proving in SA right now. Begging is an unbelievable thing Biden has since subjected us too.

That is a silly delusion. Energy independence is a myth.

If the government would get out of our way, we as individual's could have raced towards energy independence on a personal level throughout this nation over time, but government loves to control things in order to protect it's power of influence and wealth over us through making us stay highly dependent on it as a source of our needs to a certain degree. Fact.

No, sorry, that's all absurd and ass backwards wrong.

Every drop of oil pulled out of US ground belongs to a private company that will sell it to the highest global bidder.

In fact, the only way any of your bullshit makes any sense whatsoever is if we nationalize the oil industry. I.E.,complete government ownership and control of it.

How ironic.

In a time of crisis you would think that our oil wouldn't be allowed to be sold across the pond regardless of who got it up out of the ground, otherwise until our security needs are met.....During the time of the crisis, our government could have purchased that oil in order to make sure our economy keeps in balance for national security purposes. Allowing our nation to falter in a time of national crisis, is a government that is derelict of it's duties... It has been found to be derelict in concerns of the welfare of the citizen's, and towards the country in which it's supposed to provide for in a crisis.

So either we have a crisis or not, and if we don't then tell Biden so he can stop blaming his Gardner, the cook, his cleaning lady, the dog catcher, republican's, Putin, his doctor etc.

So we're supposed to be cheering that gas has dropped from 5.50 to 4.75. Fucking idiots.

Why not? that is 75 cents a gallon saved, 10 bucks or more per tank of gas, and it has come down every day for the last 40 plus days.

This is a good thing for everyone but those wishing pain on the country to gain a few extra votes.

The Dems mentioned halting oil sells out of the US but the Repubs refused to support it.

We're not saving anything. Democrats could bring prices down if they wanted to. Can't sell electric cars if gas is affordable.

So basically you are saying the Govt should nationalize the oil industry. THat is the only way to prevent them from selling their oil outside of the US
