Yes, I can see that...but this piece was written before Russia attacked Ukraine. Inflation, and particularly high gas prices are going to be with us for a while. The attack on Ukraine will probably extend into the fall or winter.

Russia may take Kyiv. They may install their puppet government, but they will never win the hearts of the Ukrainian people. Ukraine will be free again. It may take years, but they will be free again.

Inflation is here to say for a while. It is a worldwide problem and will not be solved until the economic imbalance in the world is solved. It sounds simple, but lack of supply and high demand will always result in higher prices. Until the supply side recovers, expect higher prices and limited stock.

The explosion in demand was going to happen, but damn near no one saw the supply chain mess.

I have a client who's a VP for a paint company. He says things are STILL fucked up, all the way up and down the supply chain. Everybody is waiting on someone else. They still can't get CANS to put the paint into. They can't get the right color ink for their labels. They can't get the right ingredients (whatever they're called) for certain popular shades of paint.

STILL.

And yeah, this Russia thing is only exacerbating it with oil prices. Globally.

I'm hopeful, but I don't know if this gets fully fixed in 2022.

No! No! Brandon assured us inflation is only temporary.

Of course, the delay that occurred when the "Former Guy" refused to transition with the Biden administration did not help. After he ignored and denied the pandemic for months, the new administration was left with no plan and no cooperation in their effort to recover from the former guy's screw ups.

The former guy didn’t even have the decency to attend his successors inauguration.

What a petty asshole.

He was born with a silver spoon up his butt and acts like he is something special. He is just another Mafia Boss that Putin helped to get elected into the WH. Voters won't vote for a proven insurrectionist in 2024....
