Or would a stronger Russia be a benefit to America?

Why/why not?

would depend on what you mean by strong,,
if its a strong aggressive military/government and a weak populace that would be a bad thing,,

the reverse not so much,,
Whichever definition you want to use that puts Russia in stronger position.

A weaker Russia would be a better trading partner and allow more resources to be directed to infrastructure rather than war. It would also involve far less reconstruction. And far fewer deaths.

It would help Russia too. They're in a demographic death spiral. And are sacrificing even more of their men for wars of conquest.

A weak Russia will be easy prey for China.

As it is, the Biden junta has already pushed Russia into China's arms.

Russia has a tiny economy - about the GDP of Italy.

They're basically Saudi Arabia with nukes.

If they didn't have oil & natural gas, they'd be Ethiopia with nukes.

Russia is obsessed with being a world superpower - but all they have is nukes. They are economically insignificant.

So, the only way Russia could get 'weaker' is if they did not have any nukes. That would be a very, very good thing.

They'd have to behave like a civilized nation.

Would it though? They've been much weaker in in the 1990s. What 'prey' where they then?

And Biden is merely investing in defense of our allies. Why are you and other conservatives so committed to ceding land and resources to Russia?

Why would a stronger Russia be a benefit to America? Unless they are going to war with China, then obviously a weaker Russia (within reason, too weak risks more war than too strong often) makes for a safer world.

Russia is China's bitch.

And the Biden administration is Russia's bitch.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely. I see it as beneficial for Russia & our USA to work together(it worked in WW2). At current America is bankrupt from what looks like to me, trying to play the world cop game & of course from corruption. The problem of course is the human condition(human nature) which has been the problem all along. With humanity stuck with our current state of human nature it appears whatever we do, @ least when acting in a plural state it just goes wrong. Considering that humanity has no dreaming idea of what human nature is, what it is constructed of, let alone how to adjust it, that any attempt @ bettering humanities future is in serious doubt @ best.

Russia is no 'weak' nation in the global scheme , neither was China which was why Nixon opened them up for trade.

Those of you who see all conflict on this rock as economically based grasp who is weak, who is strong

BRICS are a major factor right now

Seerioulsy? China had a small economy and no modern military in the 1990s compared to now. Not even close.
