Is there anything to actually be proud of the USA for?

Genuine question. Seems the US has done a lot of bad stuff, from meddling unasked in foreign affairs to its treatment of indigenous peoples. (Even the very, very conservative curriculum that was used for history class when I was in school acknowledged that we treated native Americans horribly.)
I want to genuinely know, is there anything I can be proud of my country for this independence day? (I'm at least happy that we're not socialist or communist.)
Only A Mentally Ill SICK LEFTIST FUCK would have to ask such a question ........

One of the many psycho things about the left wing bigots is that they enjoy all of the benefits of living in the country that they loath to the bitter depths of their souls.
And Dotard learned the hard way that elections have consequences when the majority gave him his walking papers last November. On Sunday I'll be grilling the biggest porterhouse I can find in celebration. You, Trump & your cult will be dining on shit sandwiches. Enjoy!

I’m very proud of this country for telling Trumpsters to go fuck themselves in the last election.

And now Biden tells us all to go fuck ourselves, you included.
Nah. You’re just upset. It’s going to be ok, snowflake.

I know it's eventually going to be ok. That's why I didn't drop to my knees and screech to the skies when Fungal Brain was elected. Nor did I act like some crazed whore in a pussy costume and matching hat like you and your little friends did.

Your ignorance of how mental illness works is showing.

I am mentally ill. I have generalized anxiety disorder and OCD, as well as trauma. None of these impact my ability to reason.

No matter, people like you who can only resort to insults and contribute nothing else to the conversation are not worth engaging. You're now on ignore, goodbye.

What a great country. A poor ignorant kid from the ghetto can get a college scholarship, then drafted by a professional sports team, earn hundreds of millions of dollars, and not even know how to speak English or write in cursive.

If people are that attached to their country that nobody can criticize it, they need mental help.
So now you finally admit it was intended as criticism and you're really not as stupid as you portrayed yourself in the OP
Nope, it was and is a genuine question. But people are too sensitive and throw fits over it anyways. Snowflakes.

You jumped right into a squabble here and didn't really address the folks that wrote things to be proud about.

If your intent was to be reminded of positives, you've shown a funny way of going about it.

This thread might have been a mostly positive bunch of comments if not started in such a negative way.

No other country has conquered as much territory from despotic regimes that murdered dissidents then rebuilt those countries, cut the people loose to establish their own governments and allowed them to compete with us in a free market. No other country protects other countries from being conquered and exploited than we do. No other country has done more to end slavery, imperialism and corruption than the US.

Leftist bed wetters want to undermine that.

If you don't like it here, try North Korea.

I thanked them for telling me just a couple pages back? I didn't intend to argue or anything.

No, you guys just stormed the Capitol, continue to whine your conspiracy theory that the election was stolen, and idiotically think your guy will be reinstated.

Which country hasnt meddled in foreign affairs, or fucked with "indigenous people"? As for Native Americans, they were fucking TERRIBLE. They were into torture, slavery, massacres, etc. When they took out another tribe, they would take the women as sex slaves, and take children above the age of 5 or 6, but they would kill all the adult males, all the old people, and all the toddlers and babies. Taking care of toddlers and babies required more work than they were willing to do.

Anything we did to them, they did far worse to other tribes. Name any country you want and I will show you horrific shit they have done in the past. This idea that the US was the only nation that did bad shit in history is fucking retarded.

Millions trying to get here every year. Dozens dying every month in the endeavor so I think we're doing something right.

If you don't hightail your ignorant ass to Venezuela.

Thanks to those who didn't make asshole-ish assumptions about my political beliefs and motivations and just answered the damn question. Much appreciation.
deannalw Here.

". . . Nationalism is not to be confused with patriotism. Both words are normally used in so vague a way that any definition is liable to be challenged, but one must draw a distinction between them, since two different and even opposing ideas are involved. By ‘patriotism’ I mean devotion to a particular place and a particular way of life, which one believes to be the best in the world but has no wish to force on other people. Patriotism is of its nature defensive, both militarily and culturally. Nationalism, on the other hand, is inseparable from the desire for power. The abiding purpose of every nationalist is to secure more power and more prestige, not for himself but for the nation or other unit in which he has chosen to sink his own individuality. . . "
