Do you not see that your inability to engage with criticism only validates the well-founded and much-needed criticism of our culture?

Arab and Muslim culture is not accustomed to critical voices. Anyone who expresses clear criticism of our culture is either put in prison or killed by the state or vigilante groups. We breed a deadly consensus mentality that stifles any dissident in thought.Because we stifle different thoughts, we fail.

That's why we only have three Muslim Nobel Prize winners in science – out of 2 billion Muslims.

That's why the only three Muslim female Nobel laureates won their prizes crying:”Please don’t kill women.”

”Please let girls go to school."

And, ”Please don’t kill women for letting their hair breathe.

”Difference is beauty.

Difference is strength. And yet we grumble about differences. We diminish strength. We kill beauty.We suffocate our mothers and our sisters in the name of ”Allah."

If Allah exists, he would bury his face in the ground out of shame, knowing his words and his name have led to the oppression and misery of hundreds of millions of people.
